    Hi, I'm struggling to understand the assessing queue. Reading previous posts it seems some applications are being processed before applications that were lodged earlier. Is this dependent on the type of visa, does the 173 have a longer wait? Thanks Rash

    Hi all, glad to see my parents are not alone in their quest to reach Oz. Not sure the word frustrating some's it all up really, my dad used to have a full head of hair before the application was lodged. They applied for the 173 in Jan 14 which was acknowledged in July 14, we have also gone through an agent. We haven't heard anything since but are hoping to soon. Good luck to all

    Hi, Hoping someone can clarify the following for me. My parents have used a migration agent for there 173 visa and are currently in month 14. The agent has recommended not to send the police checks and medicals before a CO is allocated. Reading previous posts, am I right in saying majority of people have actually sent those in early? Does it speed up the process or is better to wait for a CO. Thanks in advance Rash

    Hi, I've just moved to Sydney permanetly and i'm looking for an apprenticeship opportunity, im 30 years old. I have a strong sales and customer service background but i want to give myself the chance to follow my passion which has always been engineering and electronics. I would love to get into refrigeration or become an electricain, if anyone knows of any opportunities or the best way to go about it will be much appreciated. Thanks :biggrin:

    Hi, Ive recently moved to sydney and im looking at maybe going into this trade. Ive always wanted to get into a trade and im at the stage where i want to get into something new. Im 30 years old and thinking which is the best way to get into it, would it be an apprenticeship. Any advice would help. Thanks.

    Hi mate, a little off the topic but how long did you have to wait to get your PR, was it 2 years from when you entered oz or 2 years from when you applied? Moving to sydney next year just want to double check. Thanks. P.s im from beautiful leicester as well:cool:

    Hi mate were from leicester as well. I can see why your moving lol. No in all honesty i like life in leicester but want to move to sydney for the opportunity and future prospects. I lodged my app in october and the case officer got back to us saying it should go through by feb/march next year so happy days. Good luck with yours.

    Hi mate just came accross your thread as were looking to move to sydney around march 2012. Were looking at some houses as well preferably inland, having family there really helps. Have you guys got jobs lined up, im looking at changing careers want to get into the air con and refrigeration trade. Just counting down the days to go now.

    Hi mate, Sorry to butt in i'm also from the east midlands, you looking at going over to australia as well. I'm moving to sydney hopefully early next year. Are you working within in AC and Refrigeration at the moment. Regards
