  1. Guys, anyone else with his/hers opinion regards to those two visas
  2. This is interesting topic, as my situation is similar, but I was just wondering if I apply for 457 and get bridging visa A, can I then having Bridging visa A apply for 189 visa? and if I apply for 189 visa from Australia do I need to be in Australia when visa is ready for decision?
  3. Ozmaniac, thanks for your response. Basically, my employer already prepared documents and just waiting for me to confirm which visa I will go and to be lodged. 2 months for 189 was based on info that people provide on their timelines. However, do you know if once you get letter from your authority does Immi normally stick with approved experience or it is not rare to refuse some of experience? Thanks
  4. Hi all, before everything I apologize dropping my issue on this tread, but I was hoping if anyone can give me any advice it would be appreciated. Also, congrats to those ones who has got their visa granted and wish a luck to those ones who are still waiting. Namely, I was just wondering if someone from seniors can advice on my dilemma regarding to choosing right pathway for my visa. My situation as per below: 1. currently in Australia on 485, visa expires on 4th May 2. waiting for skills assessment that hopefully will come next week 3. if they approve my experience with more than 1yr and less than 3, I will have 60 points, but no time to get invite prior current visa expiration as per current trend, then I will apply for 457(my boss is willing to sponsor me) and after that lodge EOI and once get an invite will go for 189 - no dilemma there *more important 4. If EA approve 3 yrs of my experience then what??? I will have 65 points and if the outcome letter comes before 24, then I can go for 189 and get invite on 24th April and then apply after that but prior current visa expiration or I should stick with 186 and go that way??? My employer already collected all docs regarding to 457 and 186 as on the end of April we will run out of time and sent to my migration agent and I am already paying MA for their service for nomination or sponsorship. Therefore cost for MA will be sort of same as I made a deal with them that no matter which way I choose it will come to same cost for me. My dilemma is 189 vs 186??? advantages and disadvantages for both? Following forums it looks that decision for 189 is quicker sort of 2months comparing to 186 around 4-6months, but that is all what I know. I would appreciate if someone with experience with this or similar situation can open my eyes if I am missing something. Thank you in advance.

  6. Hi sathyajithsr, this is very similar circumstance as mine, in difference that my experience I am gaining here in AUS now. I am also interested in question that you asked so does immigration will approve experience if it is not assessed by EA. as Kate was on this topic while ago, not sure if she wold be able to give us an answer, but hopefully someone else will. Finger crossed!!
  7. Thanks MaggieMay24, do you or anyone know how they calculate experience- is that how it is assessed by appropriate authority( engineers Australia ) say on Nov 2014 ,so it would be 2 yr and 7 months in that case not eligible for direct entry or on date of application so it would be end of apr 2015 which should be a bit more than 3 years in that case eligible for direct entry? Thank you for your response
  8. Hi everyone, i have been working for one employer from 11.4.2012. My 485 visa expires on 4.5.2015. I am a civil site engineer. 1. Am I able to apply for 186 visa using same employer that I am currently employed 2. As 3years of experience will be on 11.4.2015 - does it mean that my application should be lodged after that but before 485 visa expires( approx. 3 weeks)? any advice would be appreciated, which way to go.
  9. Once again, thanks mate. I will try to contact them to find out more.Actually,my application would be onshore cause I am already in Australia.
  10. Thanks smwarlock20, but I am still in doubt. So ,when I rang Migration they told me 3 times different story,YEEES,NO and MAYBE is mandatory.I just want to know can I start to go in process before I apply, even Migration agents told me different story. So,sorry but I am still confused.I am trying to do everything what is in my power that they can't refuse my application, but I am finding that assessment will be a challenge because I have no much experience. Anyway thanks a lot,so maybe I'll find someone in engineeringindustry but same situation.
  11. Hi there, my experience is that was very easy and without any trouble. We provided statement of her family, my family and our common friends. We also provided some of our together photos from different period of year, snow winter, summer sun and like that.We didnt have any common bills but we have national id on same address. Statement was "I that and that state that I know (his name) and ( her name) for 4 years and I can confirm that they are in de facto relation for 3 years.I am close friend of (his/her name). We were in relation for 3 years and I think it help that I had hair on some photos, but on the last ones I was getting bold. I dont like that but in that case it was helpfull. Cheers
  12. Hi guys, I see that you have much more problem than me at the moment, but does anyone can help me and to confirm to me is it mandatory that I have my skills assessment approved before I apply for 857 or it is not mandatory? My Authority Body is Engineers Australia and I am a civil engineer. Thanks a lot
  13. guys, i would be appreciated if anyone can just tell me is it mandatory that I do my skills assessment to Engineers Australia before I lodge my application or it is not strict obligation, but it is advantage.I am asking for 857 visa. Thanks
  14. hi guys, I am a civil engineer and also interested to apply for 857 visa as I have a potential sponsor who is willing to sponsor me.Because I did not start process of application yet I am just wondering is it mandatory that I assess my degree from overseas before lodgment or it is not necessary, but still I am eligible to apply for that visa.I am asking that because I dont have much experience and I suppose that will be a big challenge.I know that on the Immigration web site if it is necessary to allow you to work independetely that you have licence or registration you have to do that, which is not mandatory for civil engineer,I guess, but still I dont know how Immigration looks on that. Thanks in advance
  15. hi Kate, thanks very much anyway.Yes,you are in right I have to do assessment for non-acredited University, actually process is more complicated with writing 3 career episodes and all other documents.I hope that I will find some answers on this site. Thanks a lot
  16. Hi littlegreenman, thanks a lot for your advice.Your post encouraged me,really.I already wrote my career episode 1 and I am doing next one. Once again thank you very much
  17. Hi Kate10, I found that your husband is very experienced.I became interested to find out something more about skills assessment cause I am a civil engineer too.I dont have much experience approximately 2 years, but as internship and before graduation.I am a bit worried about that assessment because if it is failed it can destroy my all my dream.Namely,I contacted Engineers Australia and they told me that is possible to apply and to use some projects from my Uni,but I am concern about that because I dont know anyone who was in same boat. I would be appreciated if you(your husband) can give me more info about that how they are tough in assessing that and are they flexible for some cases.I know that your husband is more more experienced ,but maybe he can give me some advice or anything that can help me.I have written one career episode and now I am doing next one,but all the time worried. Thanks a lot and wish you all the best
  18. Hi again, I am studying Diploma level Building design and Technology. But problem is because there is issue that I have to niminate occupation from SOL which is just civil engineering, but not building design.I preffer to work in engineerg, but if I noiminate civil engineering I have to connect those two occupations to be close related, but nobody can tell me exactly are they.Even I rang Immigration office couple times they told me different stories.Once its up to case officer, next time depends from suitable authority, third time you have to give us evidence of that and then we will decide.Everything is yes or no,but I am not ready to take a risk like that when they dont know to tell me exactly.A bit complicated, but anyway if you have any other idea I would appreciate.
  19. hi Maz25, thanks for support.I am already in Australia on student visa which expires in march ,so up to that I have to do something about my visa.I cant claim experience in industry because I have right to work up to 20pw,which is not enough for my industry.I will keep trying to find a appropriate sponsor and appropriate visa cause that will let me stay in Australia, but I really cant wait to start to work in industry.I am hungry of that job. Good luck

  22. Hi guys, I have opportunity to get sponsorship from an employer who is located in Regional area.He is willing to sponsor me for PR,actually 857 visa.I have an engineering degree from overseas and I am interested in how hard is actually to achive all requirements for that visa if I dont have much experience and how hard is paperwork for employer Also, how long is procedure for preparation of all documents before you apply. What is exactly your obligation once when you get PR approved? Any help, advice and experience are welcome. Thanks a lot
  23. Hi there, I am prety new on this site and have some dilemma.Namely, I have potential employer who is willing to sponsor me for 857 visa. That is great because I dont have much experience and it is hard to find a sponsor. But in that case I would do all kind of job which is necessary which means all engineering job(as my qualification) and all labourers job in production line of the company and all that for minimal salary. On the other side I have very good company with excellent opportunity for growing up in the industry, but problem is that they dont want to hear for visa.If they accept to sponsor me on visa 457,what is your advise which is better choice. Please help me ,I'm confused in making right decision.
  24. I am interested in too.I am interested for civil engineer.
