  1. Visa granted this morning:biggrin: Timeline 187 Visa DRC Perth lodged & acknowledged 17th Dec Granted 10th May No notice that a CO was assigned just email from agent to say it was granted!! Good luck everyone.
  2. Oh that finally is music to my ears. We are DRC, Dec 2012 Perth as well so fingers & toes crossed!!!!!
  3. Is it just down to resource issues that the Perth office is so slow compared to Parramatta? The standard email is still being sent regarding them dealing with the June 2012 backlog. If I was still sending an email like that in my job I'd be out of business...So frustrating but great for anyone with applicatons there.
  4. Hi all, can someone shine some light on why it appears parramatta is working faster than perth at processing visa applications? Is it just resources?
  5. Our medicals were online and MA said that if they were referred we would be told! Other than that we can't get any info. MA said that they have emailed diac regarding all of the DRC visas but no updates were received. I really have no info except what MA is telling us which is basically the very very minimum.
  6. Hey Pete, We had our medicals in Jan and have not heard anything. I would think if they were referred we would have heard by now??What do you think? We are getting our PR visa through MA (AMA) arranged by employer. They have not contacted us so I presume no CO yet.
  7. Not a word here still as frustrating as ever! Love to here good news that some 187 are being granted
  8. Hi Chris, I did the tech interview in Sept 2012. It lasted 2 hours and was like a slide show with questions. They are not trying to catch you out and give you plenty of time to answer. Some of the terminology is different and I said this at the start and anytime I didn't quite understand the question I asked the Interviewer who is a qualified Mechanic also to clarify. The interview covers H&S, electrics, circuits, hydraulics etc. I was sick with nerves and got through it fine full marks! The result took 10 days but is sweet when you get it. Its natural to worry but all they want to know is that you know your trade and not chancing your arm. If you have any specific questions let me know and I'll try to help.
  9. So Frustrating. We had our medicals start of Jan. MA hasn't heard anything so am I right in assuming if they were referred I would know by now?? There would be no reason to refer but that doesn't matter in this system it seems. I asked for password to check on line status but was told its no use as all our application will say is in progress until its granted?
  10. Hi just wondering if anyone has an update on their application. We are 3 months in after lodging in Dec '12 so guessing half way fingers crossed
  11. Hi, We applied Decision Ready Perth in Dec and were told by MA that realistically it will be another 6 -12 weeks. Medicals etc done since Jan 10th. It seems to be pretty slow and 6 months is about right:(
  12. Hi Pete, I've lodged in Perth too and like you am hoping for the 2 month mark myself. My employer is also patient but I don't want to push it!!! I'm in Ireland and my employer is using a migration agent so I can't see the progress of our medicals or visa. They have said they will contact me when they have news which is so frustrating.
  13. No we needed our TRN & Hap number first. We applied through agent and then immi requested medicals. We completed these and they were uploaded electronically. Not alot of info about. I saw a couple granted in 2 months I hope this is me!!!
  14. I hope you are right!! We applied decision ready Perth through agent in Dec. Heavy duty mechanic.
