Hi - We also live in Bulimba. Have been in Bulimba a year now and love it - started off in Kangaroo Point for our first 7 months here, nice but didnt have the nice vibe that Bulimba does! Occasionally you hear the odd plane but you definately get used to it. My husband(30) and i(30) both work in the CBD, dont have any kids (yet) but are always looking to meet new people, so if you ever fancy catching up for a coffee (or a wine) PM on here! ) x

Hi, My partner (28) and i (29) moved to Brisbane at the end of July and have been/and probably still are in the same situation as you. My partner had a job all ready lined up and i am currently looking for work. I have signed up with some good recruitment agencies (Robert Walters and Russo have been good to me) and I'm currently working a temp assignment for a couple of weeks. We have been fortunate enough to meet a few nice couples using this site, Living in Queensland. I know how daunting it can be searching the internet for friends but it has definately worked out well for us. (despite friends back home warning me against meeting alone as i was bound to meet an axe murderer!lol) If anyone would like to catch up, go for a coffee (or a beer), plan a night out, drop me a line. My partner and I have recently moved to Brisbane and are looking to meet new people, explore new places and make Brisbane feel like home. We arived on a saturday and my partner started work on the monday so i have been left to my own devices for the last 5 weeks. In that time i have found us an apartment (kangaroo point), registered with recruitment agencies and become the domestic goddess i never thought i would be.
