  1. Next week for my kids too in Essex.
  2. So sorry to hear that. My thoughts are with you and your family.
  3. We took my future mother in law too!! Luckily it went smoothly and it was actually quite nice having her there. Whereas if I'd have took my mum we'd probably have fallen out on day 1. Plus the mother in law can't stand a messy kitchen, so I didn't have to wash up once, bonus!!
  4. I've just got back from a week in Spain (well got back last week but am in denial and clinging to holiday mode!) it was the best week!! So hot, nice and relaxed and not a day went by that I didn't have a glass of wine in hand. Kids loved it too. Back to reality now though. Have a great holiday....I'm not jealous at all....
  5. Ooh talk about throw you off balance, but still exciting though!! We are going to Perth too (fingers crossed)! Hope it all goes well for you
  6. Congratulations lynne 1266!! We are putting in our application in next couple of weeks, just waiting on passports to arrive (had to send them off for renewal) then can finally get forms etc sent off and then wait some more!! When do you go?
  7. Sorry can't help, but I'm feeling very nervous now! We are in similar position, just about to start process of 457, 3 kids...2 from my previous marriage. He agreed to me moving kids to australia last year and we did the statutory declaration and haven't heard from him since, haven't a clue where he is. I also thought that was enough? Will be interested to see what information others give to your post

    True Friends

I'm lucky enough to have a very good friend who I know would drop everything and vice versa. I have other friends from school run and others that I've known since little, but I wouldn't say we were very close. I love getting together with friends, but don't like it when it becomes full on and your 'expected' to meet every week and feel you can't get on with your own thing, which has happened to me before.
  9. Congratulations!!! Hope all goes well with the move. X
  10. Thanks for the welcomes  The Ropey HOFF, I may just have to print your comment to my forehead for if I get any future wobbles (which I no doubt will lol) but I do feel relieved now the decision is made, its just a case of going for it and making it great I guess. Thanks Susie, and I shall check out perthpoms website, thanks for that. x
  11. Hi all, I'm Michelle, I've finally registered after lurking on here for just over a year! We (myself, my partner and our 3 children) were going to move to Melbourne last year (partner had lived and worked out there for a year before we got together) but I got freezing cold feet and bottled it. After the initial excitement(?!) of my decision to stay in England, reality of my choice sank in and I realized the opportunity I'd thrown away, so we started looking in to it all again and this time decided on Perth. Partner has been offered a job and if all goes well we will be going out on a 457 visa, we are going to spain next week (yipee!) for a holiday so once we are back, will fill out all forms then fingers crossed the ball will be rolling. Scary stuff, but it is something we feel we definately have to try. I've wondered 'what if' ever since i changed my mind last time and feel this is an experience we have to try or we will never know and hopefullly it'll be worth it!! So anyway, hope to speak to many of you soon!!
