Thanks guys, have decided to scrape the money together and have applied for all our passports

So after nearly 4 years in Brisbane we have realized that we are not living the dream and are only surviving here. We have sold up and are heading back to London in 3 weeks. Luckily we attended the ceremony and received our Citizenship last night. Before we leave i have a few queries that some of you might be able help with. We need to apply for Aus passports but as our money is all tide up with the move at the moment (flights, containers, car hire etc) we dont have the spare cash at this moment to fork out for the whole families passports. Is it ok to just leave on our British passports and apply for Oz passports in UK? Last night we signed on to the voters roll, do we need to notify them of a UK address once we have settled? Do we notify all the government departments (Drivers licence, medicare, ATO etc) that we no longer live here. Do they accept foreign address if i change them online? Thanks

Finally!!! was a long wait from when we were assigned our CO but have been granted our visas this morning

We submitted our Meds and PCC in July and were still waiting!!

We are still waiting,got assigned the co quickly but has dragged since then. All our docs (except meds and pcc) were uploaded and we left for a 5 week recce to Brisbane on 1st June and suddenly the CO asked us for our meds and pcc on the 5th. We managed to do our meds while we were in OZ and got an extension from the CO till we got back in July to submit the PCC. Mine and the missus meds were all uploaded fine but for some reason the medical centre sent our daughters medicals to some other department and not to DIAC as her passport photo(taken when she was a baby) didn't match up with what she looks like now. After staying up late one night and phoning the medical centre i got them to upload the docs again but this time instead of putting in her birth date as 2008 they put in 1908!!! so again there was a month delay trying to sort that out. As far as i am aware they now have everything and i am hoping ours gets granted in the next week

I used the post office service for some of my docs when I submitted my skills assessment to vetasess and for the visa application and there was no problem with using them. Only issue was the cost if you have loads of documents to certify. I got about half of them certified through the post office but then got an engineer at work to certify the rest

I'm 6'5" and i had no problem in the economy seats, there was plenty of legroom

We've just got back from a recce in Brisbane and flew Singapore airlines. We were on the A380 but on the lower deck and all economy seats had an A/C socket in the arm rests. Singapore uses the same plug as UK so there was no need for any adapters and plugged my laptop straight into it. There is a usb port on the seat in front next to the screen but i never used it. From what i have read on the forums recently the time period has been short from receiving a case officer to everything been met and meds requested but mine has stayed unchanged since then?

I submitted my application online on the 18/04/12 and on the 03/05/12 it changed to application been processed further and email sent, contacted my agent who confirmed that he has received the email from DIAC and that a person had introduced themselves and requested all my documents to be uploaded. He says that i have a case officer already but as my status hasn't changed since then i not so sure? Could i have been allocated a CO in two weeks and how long do they normally take to process all the documents?
