In my case it was based on the date of the police check, as this was done first. I was granted the visa in Dec and had to enter by May. Hope that helps ;O)

Hi I was told by the Embassy that if I wanted to travel to OZ before my VISA was granted that I had to tell my CO and have an onward ticket, otherwise the immigration in the airport can refuse entry. To get the best answer I would ask your CO, they would have to know anyway. Good luck

Hi Susie We are looking at either Vic or NSW. My choice would be Vic - Melbourne, but it will depend on the work opportunities. Maria

I am not sure about SA but Emirates allow 30kg for all passengers. I have heard that they also allow extra if you are migrating, but I am not sure how that works

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I should have specified a bit more. I already got a confirmation as I handed in the application in person. But there was no CO assigned to that confirmation. I guess I was just expecting to have received an email from a CO so I knew that the application was in hand. Any idea how long this type of visa application normally takes?

Could any one tell me how long it takes from handing in your Spouse visa to getting a CO? Handed mine in to the Embassy in Berlin in May and have not heard anything as yet.:daydreaming:
