  1. Hey guys. Is there anyone on here approved between November 2016 and January 2017 and waiting for a ceremony allocation from City of Swan WA?
  2. Hello everyone. Hope we all have our visas now. Just wanted to let you all know that I'm making the big move to Perth on September 11th. I don't arrive in Perth until the 14th though. (long way to travel!). No job yet but there a 2 strong leads so I am hopeful it will work out once I am there. Again thank you all for the support and well wishes. Please let's keep in touch. If anyone else here is already or will be in Perth please PM me so we can maybe have a cup of coffee. Regards, TT
  3. Hello Guys. Just wanted to share our experience with you since I started here in this forum. My family and I visited Perth from 17th-21st April to validate our visas and look for opportunities etc. I really fell in love with Perth from the time we landed. Our experience was made even better by our Australian host (we stayed at a B&B as hotels were quite costly). She was ready and willing to go out of the way to help us in whatever way she could. I guess there are still angels on earth and I can say that I met my Aussie angel. I visited several employment agencies during our short stay. Things are looking positive as there are several opening that fit my profile but the only problem was that I did not spend enough time there. I was assured though that they will try their best to have potential employers perform skype interviews. The best thing is that initial contact was made as they told me that employers usually ask whether the agencies have met the candidate in person. The weather was also great during our stay. Never went above 24 during our stay. It did get a bit nippy at night but warmed up quickly during the day. We didn't get much time to do sight seeing but managed to walk around downtown as well as visit the Zoo. The children loved it but were complaining that it was too much walking . I don't want to bore you all with too many details but in short I am looking forward to making Perth our new home in the near future. Cheers!!

  5. Congrats Rob! Now we need some good news from Kalinka and Pegs.
  6. Hi Pegs. I am not sure why they only gave me 6 months to validate. Others report of getting 9 months and some 1 year so I do not even know how they go about giving that time. In terms of the document checklist I honestly would not go by it. My visa has already been issued and the status of all my documents is still at required.
  7. Hi Pegs. Haven't thought about it in detail yet but we must activate by 12th May next year. We are thinking of just doing a short recce trip in the mean time and make the big move later on in the year. We are still trying to work out the details. Keep in touch.
  8. Lol. Not to worry Helene. I feel our group is a lucky one. Soon soon.
  9. Thanks guys for the best wishes. It does seem like I'm the first from our group. Anyone on here heading to Perth?
  10. I thank God and everyone on this forum for their support. Our visa was granted today 12/12/2011. Initial entry date has been set to 12/05/2012. Have a lot of planning to do. Will keep you guys updated.
  11. OK. My docs still all say required but I did get an email from the CO asking for Meds and PCC's as well as functional English evidence for my wife. I didn't use an agent did everything on my own every step of the way except for the meds. Well let's hope for the best and good luck. Hopefully we will get it soon.
  12. Hi Helene. Has the status of your document checklist changed to MET for any of the requirements? Also which team is processing your application? Regards
  13. Ok wife and kids meds finalised. ALL PCC's uploaded. Now the waiting begins.
  14. Hello guys. I feel really horrible about a mistake I made and wanted to share with you. I thought my CO was female and addressed my emails as such. After doing some investigation I realised that the person is indeed male! I was thoroughly embarrassed and sent off an apology email expressing my regret for being so foolish. Hope my gaffe doesn't delay the visa decision!
