  3. Hi everyone , Was wondering if you could help me . Im thinking of applying for my de-facto visa off shore and I wanted to know would I need to be in that country for the visa to be granted . I realise I need to be off shore at time of grant but would it matter if I was in a different country . So for instance if I apply in New Zealand could I then be in the UK for grant. I am travelling with partner to New Zealand for a few months as he has work there , Then we both have work in the UK from May to Sept . I was hoping if I applied as soon as I get to New Zealand it may be processed by sept but not sure if I need to stay in New Zealand . Any advice is much appreciated Thanks
  4. Hi everyone , Was wondering if u guys could give me some advice on partner visa??? here is some background. I am a pom with an Australian fiancé we have been together for over 2yrs now . I met him while on WHV in Dec10 I then returned home when visa expired in April we kept in touch and I returned to Australia for 6 months on holiday visa in Sep11 .He then came to Uk for 6 months when my holiday visa was up and now we both live and work in New Zealand. We have plenty of proof of relationship and we have been engaged for over 1yr but no plans for wedding as we want to get this visa sorted first . We want to apply for parner visa / de-facto from here in NZ but my fiance has a criminal record will this effect his being able to sponcer me??? they are all driving offences and he did serve a sentence for driving without a licence .Its all stated on his crimanal record check which we have had done. Also we have to provide his income details for the past two years which were fine for this year but last year as he spent time in UK they are a lot less . Does anybody know what sort of income the main sponcer would need to earn a year ???? We have some savings about $11,000 dollers would this count towards any downfall in his earnings and prove we could provide for ourselves. Many thanks for your help and advice Beaga
  5. Hi everyone , just wondering if anybody would be kind enough 2 help me out on visa options??? I have read up on here n immi.gov n think I may be able to qualify for defacto but not 100% sure .Here is my story:biggrin: I came to oz on WHV in 2008 and while on this I met my boyfriend whos Australian . We met In Nov 10 and moved in together in Dec 10. He works as a sheep shearer and his boss pays for the house n bills so no joint bills but boss can confirm we have lived here and we have bank statements ect for address . We can get lots of personal statements from people in town also to comfim our relationship. My WHV visa ran out in april 11 so I had to return home for a while 4 months . And now im back on a 6 months holiday visa living at same address with bf. Would the time apart effect the defacto requirments ??? We have txts n letters sent to each other for that time. As my holiday visa is up in march I would like to take bf home to uk to meet my family and we were thinking of applying for defacto while we were there as the hudge waiting times in Australia . Is this possible ???? Any help will be appreciated thank you x
  6. Hi , thanks for taking the time to read n reply much appreciated I looked into studying in NZ but the qualification you obtain can only be used in NZ So to work in Australia you still need the Australian qualification .My boyfriend is australian so would really like to return there. I have been searching all kinds of avenues and was thinking of going back on a tourist visa 676 for 6 months ??? on the immi web site it says "This visa allows people to visit Australia for a holiday or recreation, or to visit family and friends. This visa may also be used for other short-term non-work purposes including study for less than three months" The Woolclassing qualification normally takes 6 months but a tutor I was in contact with says it can be done in 3 if I work really hard and do some study before I start course maybe on-line in UK . Im just not sure if this is allowed ??? or will I get into trouble using this visa ??? can anybody help thank you xx
  7. Hi Everyone, Im new to this site and was wondering if anyone could help me ????? I spent 2yrs in Australia on a WHV and returned to UK 3 months ago. Whilst in Australia I worked most of my time in the shearing industry . For about 18months i travelled from team to team. I was a woolhandler but in the last 4 months was taught to shear. I obtained a certificate in woolhandling level 2 but was unable to gain sponsorship as they ask for level 3 or 4 in wool classing or shearing . I am unable to study these courses as an international student , and they are unavailable in the UK. I really enjoyed working in this industry and would love to come back to Australia . My previous boss is willing to sponcer me but I really dont think I will qualify without qualifications. I know there is a real big shortage of shearers and wool handlers over there a the moment . I dont have any qualifications for the skilled migration , and before I travelled to Australia I worked as Cabin Crew . I have a boyfriend over there who is Australian we met while on WHV but have only been living together for 6 months so do not qualify for de-facto. If anybody has any advice for me I would be grateful Thanks you xxx
