  1. Looking to apply for a 176 visa. I have a positive skills assessment from the ACS which is nearly a year old with just over 2 years work experience. I now have 3 years work experience to satisfy the 3 years work experience points (working in the same job as ACS assessed a year ago, but now have updated references saying I have worked their longer etc). Is this ok to satisfy DIAC's work experience requirments or does the skills assessment have to be for the whole 3 years work experience?
  2. Just wondering how everyone sent payment to for their NSW sponsorship? They only seem to accept bank orders or money cheques, both are which are very hard to get hold of in AUD in the uk!
  3. Not really... it was a pretty small company and I didnt leave on best terms with the boss so getting anything else from them is kind of out the question
  4. Needs 3 years work experience to gain my extra 5 points for a 176 visa. I have references for 2.5 years work experince (that has all been positively assessed by ACS) but am struggling to gain proper references for the last 6 months where I worked. I have a very basic reference from the company stating the dates I worked at the company on headed paper but it does not meet the strict requirements set out by DIAC (ie no signature, job duties, working hours etc). Has anyone used something like this successfully before or do you need exacely what they ask for? I have payslips and group certificate (ie p60, it was a job in oz while on whv) but unfortunately have lost my contract. Are they likely to accept this of will the application get thrown back in my face? Cheers
  5. I applied to ACS under 'Developer Programmer' for which I have a positive assessment. (wasent really sure to go for that or software engineer at the time) I didn't get it back in time to meet the old points test and I am just short under the new points test. However I just noticed I should be eligible for NSW sponsorship http://www.business.nsw.gov.au/live-and-work-in-nsw/visa-and-migration/skills-in-demand as a Java programmer as that is what my experience is in. Unfortunately on their wanted skills list its listed under software engineer rather than Developer Programmer which is a bit of a bummer! Has anyone got a review assessment from ACS to change their ANZSCO code? Its more money and time and I am a little worried should they find me unsuitable under the new code my previous positive assessment may not be valid.
