Thanks Nicolac34, he started the job approximaltey 6 weeks after visa grant, having said that however, the employer has put his start of contract at the date of grant of visa.

Hi Everyone, We're on an RSMS 119 Visa, which is in my husband's name with myself and our daughter as secondary visa holders. My husband is in a sponsored job with a company in NSW, however we are close to the ACT border. The Visa was granted in November 2011 so technically he finishes his sponsorship in November 2013. We have found it very difficult to get answers on the DIAC website so hopfully someone can help with the following questions, any details would be great. When the two year sponsorship is up does our visa status change in any way? Do we need to inform Immigration when the sponsorship is complete? Or is there anything that we need to do in this regard? Can my husband look anywhere other than NSW for work? We have been told by numerous people that we should have registered our arrival with Immigration when we arrived initially, told them where we were living / working, what schools we were using, I can’t find any information whatsoever on the immigration website and we are now worried that we have been here and not completed the correct protocol. If this is the case, where does this leave us and how do we rectify the issue? Many thanks everyone:biggrin:

The bike is a Harley, we've had conflicting responses such as changing items such as the pipes back to the originals. It seems to be difficult to get a definitive answer. I think we have to give it a go and see what happens.

That's good news, thank so much, hoping to bring the car and the bike and thought there might be an issue. Doesn't sound as if there will be.

Hi Guys, hopefully coming out on a RSMS visa, nomination has been approved, medicals done just waiting on the go ahead. Looking to bring our car with us but OH would like to take his harley davidson with him and thinks there is a limit on how many vehicles you can take. Any info appreciated. Moving from Ireland to NSW hopefully sooner rather then later.

Hi guys, didn't mean to start WW3, thank you all for your input, we will have permanent residnecy with our visa which I probably should have mentioned in my original text, not sure where we will live just yet either ACT or Queanbeyan, will make decision based on my wifes job oppurnities and suitable school as long hours involved in my job. Will enquire in to need for security clearance it's something we haven't been told about so thanks for the heads up on that. :smile:

Hi guys, looking for any advice on ACT. We will be leaving Ireland towards end of the year depending on visa, that is my wife and our little girl (8).Have a job in Queanbeyan, my wife will be hoping to get work in Capital Hill,( IT sector) if posible to suit school time as to be with our little girl as much as posible to help her settle in. So anything on schools, places to live, things to do for 8 year olds would be a great help. Looking forward to the move, going by some of the threads seem a really good place to live.:smile:

How's it going guys, looking to ship my 06 Harley Davidson from ireland to canberra, is there anything I should be aware of with regards specifications between european and australian set up on bikes also what's the insurance like, full licence with ten years incident free biking.
