Hi, Just to let you know that we have finally been granted our visa so please turn me purple!! :biggrin: We applied back in Jan 2011 and it was granted April 27 2012. Cheers and best of luck to everyone waiting! Orchid

We don't know yet, it all depends on where the work is!! We've family in Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane so quite alot to choose from and we used to live in Sydney! Yes its all very exciting and a positive move especially for our kids I think! Best of luck with selling your house!

Hi Dean, We applied in Jan and got our CO in Sep so it took 8 months. That seems to be the normal processing rate for 176 family sponsored give or take a month or two. Good luck with it all! Orchid

Hi Tania, Can you please turn me pink!! I just found out we got our case officer on 14th Sep -my agent was away!! We're in team 2 and have 28 days to get everything back to them so I'd better get booking our medicals!! Thanks, OrchidD :laugh:

Hi, You can't do your medicals and police checks too early as they are only valid for a year. I think most people wait to get asked for them or at least until you have a case officer. Orchid

Hi, I'm in the same boat as you - we lodged our family sponsorship 176 in jan 2011 and have heard nothing back. I have an agent who I asked about all the required and outstanding comments and he told me that's what it says until you get a CO. I was wondering too as it looks like they haven't received all the necessary docs. So nothing to worry about! My agent told me he expected to hear something in July, so hopefully we'll hear something soon! Its a bit frustrating as so many state sponsered visas are being processed so quickly! Orchid
