awesome well done, hope you enjoy living on Bribie, it is an awesome island, and when you cross the bridge it feels you are in a different world. we live in Brisbane but have a holiday home on Bribie, we would love to live on Bribie but to far to travel for work, but we hope to soon. safe trip from Sydney. Ebony;s at Woorim is awesome lovely people, the RSL club is good, the indian has nice food, the bowls club at Bongaree is great, also the chip shop at the boat ramp at Bellara is great, if you want real english fish and chips at North lakes they have an english fish and chip show, very very good, everything is british. really worth trying, well hope you have an awesone trip, what work do you guys do ?? have fun nice talking to you

Hi there, we are from the UK and we have a unit at Bribie Island that we were thinking of renting out to English that are moving over, yes we have heard it is hard to rent, but not sure how true it is. we have a two bed unit fully furnished on the beach at Woorim, that we rent out, if you are interested it would be $350 per week all in. happy to rent it so you can use it as a base to see where you want to live, its between Brisbane and the sunshine coast, beautiful area. goole it, good luck with your move regards Jackie

Hi i was just reading your post, as we have a unit on Bribie on the front and we were thinking of renting it out to Poms coming over from England as people are saying they have issue with getting places to rent. we have been here 12 years, and i noticed you were from Swindon, we came from Wootton Bassett, so know swindon well. have you found some where to rent yet, we would be happy to let you rent our place short term if you need somewhere while you find a place ?? let me know, good luck with the move, and by the way Bribie is awesome and definatley worth moving too, good luck

Hi all, we live in Brisbane, and are coming to the UK for Christmas, is there anyone in the Wootton Bassett area who wants to do a house swap for a few weeks, we leave on the 30th November and get back into Brisbane on the 28th December, its a long shot I know, but if anyone is in this area of the UK and happens to be coming to Brizzie let me know, we can save on accommodation costs, thanks and have a great day !!

Hi there Annmarie, I am sure you are very excited about coming to Brisbane, we did it 9 years ago and no regrets. just wanted to say that there is a lovely area at Warner Lakes which is north side of brisbane, which is really family orinated, great parks, wonderful lake that you can walk round that has duck and fish etc. nearest station is Strathpine which takes me 5 mins in the car, there is a good bus service and great fantastic Kindy that my granddaughter goes to, we have lived in a few areas, and I must admit this is the best for families and close to most things you need, also close to motorway to get to the sunshine coast. any way do a search on the internet and see what you think. I beleive an area can make or break your fun in OZ so choose carefully, if you want any more help please email me and have fun regards Jackie
