Thanks for that, just got our visa's and everything is booked for us to fly out on the 1st Novemeber!!! There are houses on Pacific dunes for defence families so hope we can get one of these, will be in an apartment for a few weeks until get a house, fear that the shipping may well take a while and will be in an empty house however! The Stanleys, is it possible you could tell me what schools the kids go to, Wirreanda looks good for my youngest, but what about Irrawang?? Have also seen the private school but she would have to go somewhere for 11 & 12 and I haven't seen any stats for it yet. We too really like the look of Pacific Dunes, exactly what we have been looking for. We are due out at start of Dec and will get a defence housing rental to start with. As our eldest is 12 its hard as she will need a high school, we were advised by friends who had been out and are going back to only live in Newcastle and send the girls to the private St Phillips Christian College which is great but having looked at housing options to buy, as we will be staying there, we feel that the housing is totally not us, not really city folk but enjoy a little shopping and the odd evening out. Also it is very expensive for what you get, more so than the uk outside of London. We like the look of Paradise Dunes ( the sort of complex we had said we would love to live in) but then we have the school issue. We are hoping that we get out early dec so we can go look at the schools and areas before we make a final decision on the rental area and ultimalty where to buy. As you are only looking at primary schools I would not be worried. They will likely to be a much of a muchness. And in my experience even if you moved schools they are fine. Moving to Newcaslte from UK end of year with job at the local military base. Need advice on best areas to live especially for schools for a year 7, 12 last march and year 4, 9 last october. Any adivce would be helpful.:rolleyes:

Moving to Newcaslte for UK with job at local Military base and need idea of best schools for a 12 year old (year 7 now, was 12 in March) and 9 year old (year 4, was 9 in Oct). Any help on areas and best school options (public and private) would be great help aswell as the actual school year they would be due in in Jan 2012.
