  1. Thanks Alan.. may drop you a PM at some stage shortly to discuss if that's ok ?
  2. Hi All, just looking a bit of advice.. been in Aus since Aug 2011 and just became a Permanent Resident in Jan this year 2014 ( so PR 9 months approx) , decided to transfer my Private Pension into my qualifying Aus Qrops fund ... wasn't really a large amount around $68k in Aus after currency conversion .. I have just received a letter from my Aus Super fund asking me to pick one of two options on a NAT 11724 ATO form and sign and return .. looks like I have to pay 15% tax on my transfer hopefully I'm reading this wrong ..I have until 20/09/14 to advise my super fund on NAT 11724 ! As usual any and all advice appreciated
  3. Hi , no partner he is single ... wasn't aware of the waiting period ...15 years is a long time Thanks
  4. Hi All, hoping someone one can help out on a subclass 115 query , I recently obtained PR for my family (UK)after being on a 457 for just over 2 1/2 years . I'd like to sponsor my only sibling (Brother) as I am his last remaining relative (my mother passed away recently) and it would nice to have him here in Australia with me ..can anyone advise on this visa ? Also I know it takes a while to obtain the 115 and there is also a definition of settled from DIAC as below ..i.e "Settled A person is considered settled if they are an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen who is lawfully resident in Australia for a reasonable period. In normal circumstances, two years is considered to be a reasonable period. For Australian citizens this period may be reduced to at least three months." Does my 457 time count as "settled" as well as my new PR ,I have been in the same state and job since my arrival in Australia for over 2 1/2 years . Welcome any and all advice Thanks
  5. Hi All, 186 approval today(family of four from UK) Employer and employee noms...this forum has been a fantastic source of information and a great source of hope some info as below... Employer and Employee nomination where submitted together in melbourne office..my MA indicated that this saves time as both are then allocated to the same case officer. We submitted all police clearances UK and Aussie ,along with all our medicals and also form 80 was completed and all uploaded 19/09/13 been a long wait ...good luck to all stilll awaiting a grant i understand your concern and wish all a positive outcome.
  6. Having spent nearly 14k so far on a family DR visa via an MA and realise that different offices are vastly different processing times can be very frustating ...I hope you dont endure a communicationless 6+ months as some have done ...as another member has pointed out DR apps are very expensive and the clear message from DIAC is that they are treated as a priority ..which at Vic does not seem to ring true I have seen other fortunate individuals granted 186 ens which is great ..but you should understand that until you have the grant you are effectively in limbo .
  7. Hi, you are absolutely right all the approvals seem to be parramatta , I haven't seen anyone reference the Vic immi in quite a while my time line 186 ens Transition stream DR via MA @ Vic immi Employer nom 19/09/13 Employee nom 19/09/13 no "co" allocated to date , no comms Best wishes to all who are waiting
  8. yip ...very frustrating not waiting quite as long as you ..but.... DR through transition stream Employer and employees nominations loaded on 19/09/13 via MA all medicals police clearances ,form 80 the kitchen sink etc etc ...still no news !
  9. As far as I'm aware HAP ID is only required if your offshore , Medibank send the medical directly to DIAC and they link that to your app my app was DR and that's how it worked with my Medicals recently
  10. I hope you get good news soon Isabel ..it's a very very frustrating process !
