Hi my family of 5 (2 primary school and 1 high school age children)are moving to Sydney from Canberra and although we haven’t yet visited the Shire area yet, From what I have read the area would suit us as a family. Could anyone please advise on high schools and what areas I should look to live in? My eldest currently goes to a Catholic HS in Canberra but religion isn’t a factor. We will be visiting the area over the next week or so and although I have saw nice properties in Oyster Bay, Alford’s Point, Engadine etc.. I have no idea which schools are good and which area I should focus on. Thank you in advance for any help anyone can provide.

Flght was great I had a perfect 5 year old who occupied herself and the twins just fed and slept without a murmur. I will check my PM :-)

Thanks Tina. Its all been relatively easy I have found but hubby moved before we need to set up. My main concern was the medicare cards and sorting schooling out but again have found no problems - so far. We moved to the Gungahlin Suburb and its going well. Just getting used to it being quiet and everywhere closing at 5pm :-) I hope your move goes well and you enjoy your new job.

Hi all, We arrived in Canberra at the end of December after a long flight with a 5 year old and 8 week old twins. So far so good and we are enjoying Canberra. Just finding our feet and enjoying a little bit of sunshine, although have been told this summer is unsettled and not as warm as it has been.
