Hi to everybody, I have my engineering qualifications recognised before coming to Australia but now I have applied for an ARTC to be able to work in Technician positions. I sent my application early June, does anybody have any idea when about will I be contacted?. So far they have requested an additional document which I sent it early this month (July). And the most important, do you have any book to suggest available here in Australia, to refresh my knowledge. This is very important to me because I must be more familiar with some English terms. My application is first as Electrical Mechanic and secondly as Electrical Fitter. Any help will be really appreciated, thanks!

My visa has a condition that me and the kid (secondary applicants) can't entry to australia before my wife (main applicant). The visa is 176 relative sponsor. Do you think that this condition relies to the fact that the sponsor is my wife's uncle? Because i've seen other people saying that they have been told by the dept that the secondary can entry first.

Today was my turn!!!!!!!! We got our visa today!!!!!!With direct grant. We have to be there before 29/3/12. Wish you all good luck!!!

I am really worried because I see many people from all Feb and also March (now and April) having CO but me nothing!!:confused: Note that I received the 18th March letter. It seems that this letter means nothing now. They only forced us to do our checks imediately and now if we get the visa we'll only have 2-3 months to get there! :arghh:

I have sent a message asking about how long it will take but the answer actually was "if you have not CO do not make any question" "To obtain the current dates please use the following link; http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/estimated-allocation-times.htm If your enquiry relates to recent changes in General Skilled Migration please refer to the Departmental website: http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/whats-new.htm We request that you do not phone or use the on-line enquiry form to enquire about the status of applications which have not yet been allocated to a case officer."

Hi everybody, I am a Cat4 applicant submited my application on 3/2/2011 and received the 18th march letter. I can see now that there are many applicants from the end of feb who have a CO, but me not. My application is supposed to be decision ready and i have submited police and medicals on April. Do I have to worry about? Did they forget me? Waitingtogotooz congratulations all the others!

Although your police and medical checkd were finalised on April, why do you have to be in Australia on Feb? Is it possible for someone to stay for some days and after that go back home before moving permanently? Congratulations!
