    Hi Hoffer, We were in the same position as you (minus the kids). We were renting in Bulimba, loved it and wanted to buy but didn't feel like we could justify the prices being demanded. We did look in other areas close by where you can get more for your money such as Morningside, Murrarie, Carina, Seven Hills - have you looked at any of those as you can definitely get more for your money? In the end we got lucky and found a 4 bed house in Bulimba that needs a bit of work and the owner was in a rush to sell so we snapped it up at a reasonable price (well reasonable for Bulimba!).     Ours got approved yesterday from Vic Our timeline; Everything submitted 21/5/14 Emailed NSW immi to get an updated 25/8/14 Received a reply 27/8/14 with the team number our application was assigned to which was in Vic. We emailed Vic the same day to get an update. No reply to the email but the Nomination was approved later that day (27/8/14) and then the application approved an hour later Not sure or not if the email chase up prompted our application to be reviewed. We used a MA and are from a low risk country. Good luck to everyone else that is waiting.

    We just did this last week and it was just a chest xray, urine sample, blood test for HIV, weight, height and eye check then a one on one with a doc who checks your breathing, makes you stretch, touch your toes, he feels your stomach and has a brief discussion about any meds you may be on and that's it.
