    Hi Guys Is there any Taxi drivers out there in Perth who can give me some advice on becoming a Cabby ie; costs in relation to rental of plates , shift costs ,petrol/gas tax and the rest? Seems to be a bit of a mine field and would like a real outlook on the matter. Cheers for reading. Jono

    We are in the process of arranging our move to Perth. Trouble is the quarantine places in Perth are getting booked up quickly and we are thinking of sending our dog to Sydney and then onto Perth after he has completed his quarantine. Does anyone have any idea how much it would cost to fly our dog from Sydney to Perth? Thanks in advance.

    Hi We re off to perth in April too. Need internet same as! Do you know if uk dongle, a sim card 1, will work in OZ if we get OZ sim when we arrive? So excited cant wait ,house is sstc and got temp rental for last month here.Its finally happening,Wooo Woooo here comes the SUN !!!!!!!!!!!!

    <p><p>Just wanted to thank you guys as you gave us advice about my OH's son as the decision maker said he needed a medical even tho he's over 18.Our agent contested it and we waited a month and then got our 176 in Nov 2011. We are coming to Perth in April 2012,house is up for sale so if all goes well we won't have to make the return journey back home.Just looking around now for rentals in Perth.Weather here is cold and windy!!!</p></p>

    I don't think it will affect it that much. I had my medical and have psoriasis but only on my scalp so not very noticeable.Have you looked into how much the creams will cost in Oz? BTW how bad is it...what treatment are you having?

    Our agent thinks its because when I lodged with DIAC my son was 16 years old. He's 18 now but I've been away from the family for 4 years . Did your daughter go with you to Australia,what sort of things did you have to put in the letter? We have applied to WA . Thanks for your info,it's given me some hope.

    We paid £53.50 for the vaccination and the blood test will be £60.

    My OH's ex wife has a live in partner now. His son has got Autism so needs supervision but he is not severly disabled or anything. The partner living with his ex wife is working and supports the household.My OH doesn't pay maintenance as he gave her the house to make their son's lives secure. Do you think this looks bleak??

    We have been assigned a case officer but she is asking for my OH's son to be sent for a medical even though he is over 18 years old and not emigrating with us. Has anyone else heard of this? My OH is divorced from his children's mother and this could prove difficult if they insist on a medical being done for him. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

    I think you're being very optimistic.We are now in Cat 5 and we had an email from our agent to say we have a very long wait.We think the best thing is to try and get SS.

    Good link.. I wonder whether any action will be taken against DIAC? Is anyone complaining about the treatment of people in Cat 4? They've taken our money and we are all in limbo about what route to go down!
