  1. Bob,

Your timing has been perfect. Both PCC and meds uploaded in time for the CO to sign off. Have they asked for any more info?

You haven't changed your colour on the front page?

    Ya bud...

Ideally its very rare that I get my time perfect ...:biglaugh:...had been bit lucky this time (I hope so).... FYI I am turning myself PINK (My to be OH loves pink:wub:) as my CO also requested Form 80 and Form 1221 today which will be uploaded tomorrow by my agent...

    thanks and regards

  2. Hi guys,

Absolutely thrilled to be able to say that our visa was granted this morning!! Weirdly we didn't even get the confirmation email yet but as I am obsessed (!!) I logged on to the system and we are approved, have visa grant number etc etc.

Yippee!!!! So exciting to know that we have it! I sent a very short polite email to our CO on Sunday evening, just letting him know that all the requested information was now uploaded. I don't know if that made any difference but we have it now, visa grant date 13th September!

    Good luck everyone!

    Kate.

Congratulations Katy...I am glad to turn you BLUE#1 in this thread...AWESOME NEWS!animated-flowers-congratulations.gif

    thanks and regards

  3. Well done! Bob, did you do e-health for your meds or did you do paper?

    I did an e-health hun.

    Bob,

That was quick, your meds were two days after mine and already it's uploaded. Nice one...Does the status for xray and HIV also say received?

    Hey Mansukhpatel

Yes boss...They all say met...Some were uploaded on 10th and rest on 12th. All of them say "met"...Guys I have a CO finally

    Hi Bob,

For us our daughter's meds read finalised as soon as they were received. We think that this is because she did not need blood tests or xray so as soon as her general medical report was uploaded everything for her was uploaded. For us it started to say received the same time as hers did but we didn't go up as finalised until the following week, when our blood test results were uploaded by our doctor.

On the document checklist though it still says that our meds are required, rather than met, and it says the same for passport photos, which I have also uploaded. I think our CO has not reviewed our file since he looked at it on August 17th and requested photos and meds. I don't think that there was anything unusual in our meds so am hoping that when he next looks at our file our visa will issue ....fingers crossed!

    Kate.

    Hi Kate

It seems you are right...They might be just sending some generic mail to make sure applicant are done with meds and pcc...All the best Kate...Your form 80 is uploaded on CO request ? Let me know when to turn you red...lols ( colour on first page)

    cheers!

    regards

  4. How did you get on? For me and the partner the doc put down everything as normal but during the check up the nurse informed us that our BP was slightly over than normal but nothing to worry about

Once they have received the blood and x-ray results, the doc will upload the information via e-health next Thursday

  7. Hi,

I am currently on Bridging visa, application for VB 886 is in process, recently got Married in Pakistan and now bring my wife here in Australia.

The only option that seems viable is to call her on visitor visa, there was no hindrance in that option until I read here and there on websites that reason to get tourist visa is not good enough in this case and even read few guys got their visa rejected.

If anyone can help me out that would be so great.

Amazing thing is department of Immigration doesn't give any concrete answer as they say it depends on case to case basis, in general they say my wife is eligible to apply for that visa.

Furthermore, for financial statement, is fine for me to show my statement, credit cards etc.

I don't have any lump sum money like in the student visa they need handsome money set aside for all the expenses, in my case very good salary is coming only.

Please look into my case and provide any advice.

    Cheers

    Sarfraz

    Heya

I understand where you are coming from but let me add my 2 cents...If you ask DIAC they would never give you a clear answer...If she files a Tourist visa DIAC gonna evaluate your wife's "intentions " as a tourist which will be stated wrong as she is coming to live with you and hence more likely she will be rejected tourist visa. It would be wise to file visitor's visa which will bring her "intentions to stay with you" more close to as per DIAC's requirements. You can add up your wage slips cards and letter of support there and possibly she can come over this way.

  8. Hi there,

We just submitted our skills assessment to ACS (Australian Computer Society) and so we#re anxiously awaiting the results.

It says on their website that it can take around 12 weeks. Just wondering if any of you have had experience with them and whether it's usually longer, shorter or about the time they say? 12 weeks seems like a long way off right now!

    Thanks.

    Hey oidara

TBH expect 12-14 weeks + postage timings...

  12. Years since i done my meds tbh,but i guess i'd be overweight going on these height to weight ratios the medical profession use.

Just to put your mind at rest i reckon im "supposed" to be about 14 stone?,im about 6ft 2/3 inch tall, and weigh about 16 and half/17 stone,so in theory im overweight, but i flew thru the meds,i dont know how they arrive at these "should be" weights tbh,im not fat in any way,no athlete:laugh:, but not fat because my job keeps me fit.

Dont they just base the meds on BMI index anyway? hopefully someone will give you better info, good luck anyway

PS just cant bring meself to call yer stiffy!

    Hey Pablo,

Even I am worried for my meds on this Sat...I hope being BIG isn't a problem... I am 16 an half stone with 5 10' height... I am super worried too......Hope too much of overweight thing won't cause any delays in medicals...

  14. Miracles do happen...

Not sure how many applications you have monitored that have been posted here but I have seen some people get a grant within days after meds were uploaded and finalised.

I didn't think I had chance but it changed in all changed in last few months.

Something I have learned in life is to stay positive as there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Would just say Amen my friend..May your wishes come true...Hope you are saying right:wink:...but since VIC ditched me..It got all my fever down ..So I am kinda normal now...cheers!....

    cheers!

  15. Wow Bob you are getting lucky day by day,....

Why are some state sponsorships getting so late??? what abt NT pls ????

    Hia

I haven't seen too many people applying for Northern Territory. I will give you all info I have.Rest I don't have any idea on Sponsorship processing timings for NT.As I told you before Rachel, myself or anyone in this forum cannot predict the NT timings or any state SMP timings...and I won't be the right authority to answer Why they are getting so late...You can e-mail/call them and check that out. In regards to NT info here are the links that you can go with:

    NT STATE MIGRATION

NT STATE MIGRATION PLAN LIST 176/475

    CONTACT NT STATE

Rest I would suggest you to use google and other forums for help.

  16. I paid using a bank draft to the local high commission. I attached the reciept with the application.

    qsar1

I think you should be a bit worried as you should have atleast received a TRN number in acknowledgement. If you are using an agent ask them to call DIAC or call yourself with the paper based reference number. Even if its a bank draft payment still a month is a long time..

    regards
