Hi, thought that i would just add that some schools will look at early enter for you child,meaning that can go to school if they are 4 depending on the school and the maturity of the child. Hi everyone, we have just moved to caringbah south from UK and would be interested in meeting some new friends. I'm in my 30's and have 4 children, two in school. Hubby has just joined the RAN. Im free most days anyone fancy a coffee?

Thanks I think that has put my mind at ease. They have expressed an interest to explore rather than go into a temp school. My main worry was that will the british summer holidays they would be out of school for to long and I would get into trouble, especially as we are hoping to take them out of british school on the 15 July rather than the 19th as we want to take a family holiday before the chaos of shipping starts. Things are stressful and emotional here at the moment without the added worry of getting into trouble in sydney. My eldest would have been starting secondary school in sept (she's 11) and the thought of going back a year is daunting. Can anyone tell me what year she will be in?

Hi, we arrive in sydney around the beginning of sept and have two children school age. We will be in temp accomation for the first month or so. I need advice as to whether i should put the children into temporary schooling or wait until we have found a house and enrol the children then. I have noted that the school holidays are from 23 sept until 10th Oct so they may only be in the temp school for two weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions?
