Hello all, We arrive in Australia on a 176 next week. We have sponsorship from South Australia, but arrive in Perth. Does anyone know if were have a time scale to get to SA? Never seen anything on the details we got. We want to travel around a bit before settling down. Thanks for any info / shared experience!

Know what you mean about selling the house, had ours up for 6months at a fair price and didn't get a sniff. Have just rented it for now, but hardly covering the mortgage. Hoping the market improves soon. Good luck with yours.

Hello, I was granted 176 visa some time ago now and need to validate before 2nd November this year. I've had flight booked for ages (for start of October), and planned to go out for good from then. However, circumstances have changed in work and its looking like I need to stay in uk until later in the year. Basically, how does the visa validation process work? If I go on my original flight in October, stay in Oz a few weeks and come back to the UK, what do I need to do in regards the visa? I know it's a multiple entry visa, but is there some kind of process I need to follow? Thanks for any info! Cheers

Hello, My partner and I had tax file numbers for Australia about 15 years ago when we were on working holiday visas to Australia. We have now finally gotten around to getting back (we didnt plan on being away this long!) and have been granted 176 visa. Does anyone know whether we need to apply for new TFNs or can we use the same ones (if we can somehow trace them that is!). Cheers and thanks for any advice or sharing of similar experiance :smile:

yeah, not for the first time ive been sent to coventry! Ha ha. Main thing with that IELTS is getting used to the format. You'll be fine. Just practice a bit.

Alright Mate, All I can say about the IELTS is to keep practicing using the books, its the same format all the time. I also got a little basic book for about 5quid called 'commen mistakes at IELTS advanced ' which I found useful for the reading and writing. I hadnt sat an exam for 20 years and got through ok in the end with 9. Make sure you book on handy for test tho, Im from Liverpool myself, but it was booked up few months in advance and had to go to Coventry. Good luck with it all, sure you'll be sound

Hello all, Congratulations to all those who have had their visa granted in last couple of weeks! Still waiting myself. Passed medicals, police checks on 7 November, but on status it is still showing 'further checking required' next to work experience. Lord knows what this means. I have asked my agent a few times, but they just palm me off. Has anyone on here come across this? Cheers:unsure::unsure:

On the price list they sent me, it says extras are hepB £30 and hepC £40 if indicated in non medical client's ie. Extensive tattoos.

We had ours done in Manchester last week at The Bridgwater Hospital, the staff where all really friendly and we seen Dr Million. Top bloke. They have a reasonably priced cafe on site also, which is good for a Bacon butty after! Good luck, I'm sure Will be fine.
