Hey guys, only just came across this thread. My onshore 189 grant came through on Friday (7th June) after a really quick processing time. Visa was approved within a day of CO finally receiving medical paperwork from Medibank. My timeline/details- Occupation Psychologist. EOI submitted 7/4/2013, invitation to apply 21/04/2013. 189 ONSHORE visa application 25/4/2013, allocated CO 16/5/2013, visa granted 7/6/2013. IELTS General Listening 8.5, writing 8.5, reading 9, speaking 9, overall 9. Points 70. I did it all myself without a migration officer, saved myself a fortune this way and once I got my head around it it was all very straightforward. Good luck to everyone else. Steph :laugh:

Finally got the good news today-189 visa granted :laugh: Occupation Psychologist. I cant believe it only took 6 weeks and one day to get the visa granted from day off application, I'm soooooooo excited. Bottle of bubbly already in the fridge. I'm a little late to the thread but thought I would chirp in. I moved from the UK to Broken Hill 2 years ago and love it here. I plan on staying another 2-3 years and have just bought a house here. Let me know if you want any more info, I appreciate this was posted several weeks ago so may be too late now for the job. I'm in health and found it so easy to settle out here, its a very sociable town and I love the hot weather (although its been a chilly 18 degrees today). Hey everyone, I'm not a May applicant but April. Expression of Interest lodged 6th April; Invitation to apply 21st April. 189 Visa Lodged 25th April; CO allocated 16th May. It was exactly a 3 week turnaround untill CO allocated. I'm already in Australia and my occupation is Psychologist. I had my medicals done on Monday 6th May. I am awaiting my UK police checks and have to fill in the Form 80 (which is a mission and hasn't saved on the 3 attempts I have tried). Anyone else had issues with this? I think I will just fill it in by hand and scan it. Other than that they have requested Academic Transcripts and Australian Pay Slips/additional proof of Australian employment. Good luck everyone :-)
