  1. Ahhhhh, I see. The diff in salaries is as much as $10 thou less per yr in Melb . We have been to Perth and have friends there so we have an idea of costs there, I really thought Melb would be more expensive for everything Thanks : )
  2. Hi, does anyone know why Melb wages are lower than say Perth wages for the same job and grade? Can every state dictate their own salary ranges? Cheers in advance xxx
  3. Thanks for your reply, really appreciate it. We thought it was too good to be true aswell. cheers
  4. Good morning everyone. Just wondering if anyone else has heard this.... MY OH and I went to a jobs expo in the UK and attended a seminar by WA gov about state sponsorship. The guys said that as of 1 July this yr 2012, the rules have changed, among the changes were you could nominate an occupation on their list for sponsorship even if you havent any exp in that job. So my question is that if my OH completed his plumbing quals (to what level i dont know NVQ3?) would be able to nom that occupation even though he has never worked as a plumber! Also he wouldnt actually have to that job in WA just live and work in WA for 2 yrs. This is what we understood from the expo can anyone clarify this for me? Thanks in advance Berries x:unsure:
  5. Hi everyone, Does anyone out there know which visa I can apply for if my job is on schedule 2 of the new csol????
  6. oh blimey!!!!! we have spoken to an agent and they said that was the best route for us if we wanted a permanent visa. we are always trying the 457 spon route but thats just as difficult:(
  7. Hi, we would have to go down the supply and distribution manager way which is assesed by AIM.
  8. Hi, We have been told our best chance of getting a visa is to get a skills assesment done. We would have to have AIM, has anyone out there ever done this? we are told:err: its tricky!!!
  9. My OH is in procurement and supply and will hopefully complete his degree in CIPS early next yr. which agent did you use(or not recc)!!!
  10. Wow many congrats....... how did you go about getting a sponsored job???? finding it very dis-heartening, been looking and applying for over a year!!
  11. Hi, I really am losing the will to live!!!. Do we have any chance of ever living our dream in Oz??:wacko:My OH is currently studying for CIPS qualification (chartered institute of purchasing and supply). If things go as planned he should complete early next year. Is it true that as long as you have a degree and pass the points mark 65? you can apply for general skilled visa??? Should we get some advice of an agent? OH will be 40 this Nov should we start visa process now,we will lose 10 points then!!!:err:
