  4. Hello Does anyone know where on this forum I can advertise our furniture? I thought it might be useful to anyone just moved out here from the UK. Most of it was only bought last June. So less than a year old.
  5. Thank you so much. Sorry it's taken me so long to login and see your replies. Very helpful!
  6. Brilliant thank you. That's a great help.
  7. Hello, I'm hoping this is the right thread to post under? We are very likely going to be moving to Perth in the next few months and I'm wondering what to do about a new car seat for my 14 month old. We need to buy her a new car seat now in the UK and I want to get one that we can keep rearward facing for as long as possible. As well as one that has an isofix base. My concerns are will the carseat model and isofix base fit a potential new car in Australia and how can we get the isofix base across other than on the flight?! Has anyone done this before? thank you in advance Leigh
  8. Hi Helen, I hope you get some info soon. I'd also like to know! I'm a Cardiac Physiologist and my partner and I may be heading out later this year all going well, so keen to find out info as well. Good luck to you both! Leigh
  9. Tony you just cracked me up! Then again nor is darts - and look at how much money international dart's players make, and I think it's an Olympic sport too!? I hope there are some replies too! Leigh
  10. Hello All, Has anyone had experience with this type of visa? My partner could qualify for it [sport] and we were wondering if anyone has applied for it and had first hand experience with doing the application themselves or through an agent? Any tips would be appreciated and info on processing times etc... Kind Regards, Leigh
  11. Hi Talieandtribe, yup sounds exactly the same. We also felt the website was misleading. Definately not worth the cost or time. Best of luck in your research!
  12. Don't know if anyone went to the show today or yesterday in London? Myself, and my partner and a friend went today and were very dissappointed with it. There were a very small number of exhibitors - mostly private immigration firms and removal companies trying to sell you their services. One Health Recruitment agent who didn't seem to know anything, and was only interested in you if you had a visa already. Their website said: "If a job downunder is what you are searching for, then you'll find a host of opportunities in Australia and New Zealand, including state sponsored jobs, and both skilled and trades positions. Talk to our recruitment team about finding your ideal job down under!" You could get a free 'skills assessment' at a couple of stands but the queue's lasted hours. Everyone we spoke to thought it was a big let down. We travelled 200miles and came away none the wiser about whether we could get jobs in Australia. So if anyone is planning on going to the Birmingham or Edinburgh shows, don't waste your money. You could find out more in a day spent on the PIO website! Philleigh PS: It was also the Canada Live Show - I felt sorry for anyone looking for more information about Canada, there was hardly anything.
