Hi our 457 visa has been cancelled and we have never had any correspondence from immigration at all. my oh was paid off in june so do we just get the 28 days or do we get 90 days as it changed 1st july?

Hi Casson35 we are in perth area at moment and my OH is a welder and he has just been paid off along with alot of the other workers. it seems pretty hard to find work now he has been trying now for over 3 weeks and heard nothing from anyone.

don't use them! we have been using global visas too. they have been totally useless and we had been trying for over 2 years. they kept changing our agents so we didn't know who we were dealing with. we have given up on them. we are currently in perth on 457 now but employer has paid all 457's off so trying to find another sponsor or will have to go home as we don't have enough points for our 176 state sponsor visa :-( Good luck

thanks everyone, had a look but I think this is going to be very hard trying to find a 457 sponsor. but we'll just have to keep looking a hopefully someone will be able to help.

Thanks guys, they want this all done so quickly and cant get ahold of them again til monday, my oh is getting stressed and me too! his medical is booked for 2 weeks time i will have to try and get mine sorted too.

They said i could join him but i think they want the 12 week period over first to see how it goes first, we are engaged, i dont want to travel all that way on my own!

My OH had job interview and the company has told him they want him but they are only going to sponsor him to go to oz first off and not include me on the visa! they said i could join him at a later date but we were planning to go out at same time as i will have to find somewhere for us to live and a job for myself. do i need a medical for myself and what do i do? :arghh: Thanks
