  1. Not according to this: http://www.indonesia.embassy.gov.au/jakt/Visa_Evidencing.html It would appear that the rules changed as of 1st July 2012 ?????
  2. Hi all, Pre-Grant letter received yesterday which is excellent news. As 176 applicants, we now have to leave Australia to validate our visas and are considering a holiday to Bali. Whilst we are outside of Australia, we have to get our passports evidenced which, from what I gather, is the process of putting a piece of paper in our passports ?! Is this manadatory ? I mean this process takes at least 3 working days according to the Pre-Grant letter and then we have to wait a further 5 days before reentering the country. Has anyone got experience of not evidencing their passport ? Thanks
  3. Hi, I have received an envelope from Medibank with the results for my son enclosed in an envelope which is not to be opened and is to be forwarded to DIAC. There is no address and we are onshore. What is the address for DIAC for the results to be forwarded to ? The visa is a 176 but we are onshore.
  4. I have already asked twice and the response I received is "we are waiting for clearing". The problem is that they will be waiting a long time as medibank advised me by letter that they have not received the results. The issue is with Medibank...not the CO or DIAC.
  5. Okay, letter received from Medibank advising that results had not been received from our Doctor. Spoke to Doctor who provided evidence that the results had been sent by fax. Spoke to Medibank by phone and they advised that the results should have been sent to Brisbane for processing and not Sydney as advised on the letter by Medibank. Went back to Doctors and requested that they fax them again to Brisbane which they have now done. I have emailed our CO and advised them of the issue with Medibank and she has said she has updated our files. I am now at a loss as our status is still showing as "Requested" and with the alleged backlog at present, how can I be sure that the medicals have been received....I dont want to wait two more months to be told they have not received them.
  6. Emailed CO and was advised they are still waiting for clearance on my son's medical... Status still remains as "Requested"
  7. Hi, We undertook medicals on 20th July and my son had to undertake another urine test at the Doctors. We undertook the retest and the results came back as clear. A couple of weeks later I emailed the Case Officer and she advised that she was justing for my son's tests to clear. As we are now approaching the end of September, and all members of the family are still showing as medicals "required", should I issue a PLE or is this length of time normal ? I would have at least expected the status to have changed from "Requested" to "Received" for the remaining members of our family ???
  8. CO Assigned....Form 80, Meds and PCC to be provided plus a couple of other bits
  9. Only if you need to demonstrate experience....or are requested to demonstrate !
  10. My status has changed to "Application being processed further"...it looks like we should be getting a CO soon by all reports
  11. Do you have any stepchildren ? If so, then this would be the norm...you must demonstrate that you have permission to remove them from the jurisdiction.
  12. As previously posted, I am onshore and am yet to be allocated a CO
  13. I am onshore so was hoping for a quick CO allocation...maybe their priority is offshore applications ?
