  1. Thankyou Blossom and Rupert If theres not much in it Im better with the 189 I think
  2. Originally from the UK, we have lived in Canberra for 11months and now moving to Perth. We would really like for us and especially our son to meet some friends before we move to make the transition easier for him, as he is alittle reluctant! Looking forward to hearing from you
  3. Thanks Rupert, I thought the 175 had changed. OK so they have agreed to take over my 457 but cant i then apply for RSMS once with them? Or would i be better applying for the new 175? I'm looking for the quickest way to get PR?
  4. Hi All I'm currently on a 457 but I'm changing employers in the next few weeks. We currently live in Canberra but moving to Perth. Should I consider changing to RSMS or 175 or should I stay with my 457 for now? Any advice, personal experience or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Does anybody know what the time lines are like for these visa's? Thankyou in advance
  5. Hi All. My family and I have just arrived in Canberra today. We are BIG Blackpool ** fans. Does anyone know where we can watch the game on saturday night please?????
  6. Thankyou for your reply Mike....Yes i think you are in a much better position than us! Oh well we'll keep trying.....lots of luck to you
  7. Hey all, Sorry for jumping in on your thread but was just wondering if any of you know if oyur companies are willing to sponsor? My husband has been offerd a FIFO from perth, but he wants him to start in 3weeks and the ENS visa takes about 5-7months! which is crap, but we was wondering if you knew of anyone who would still be interested in employing him to arrive in 5-7months? He is 34 and a Civil Engineer, unfortunatly he only has a HND and not Degree, but he does have over 12years experience and many glowing references. Any help or advice would be great. Kind Regards
  8. Hi Sean, Have you had any luck? Are you or have you been to oz looking for work? My husband has been looking for sponsorship for well over a year now. He went over last year for two weeks and still had no luck. No companies are willing to sponsor, even though, like you said their is a skills shortage in both yours and my husbands job roles.
  9. Hi Andy, Not sure if this info is too late...............but My husband completed his white card in the uk, using the online site 'Bluedog' last year. He didnt have a problem, so we can say it is trustworthy site. He printed off his certificate and was able to use it in oz.
  10. Hi Mike WHAT!!!?? your joking, thats s**t. OMG i didnt think it would be that long. Yeah, this fella wants Tony to start in about 3weeks.................i dont think this will be happening. Back to the drawing board i think, as i dont think he'll want to wait. Im gutted now.
  11. Hi all, Can anyone tell me of the time line for these two visas please Thankyou very much
  12. Hi all, My husband has finally (after over a year of trying) been offerd a job!! To start in 2-3weeks in WA on a fly in fly out basis, not ideal but he is currently out of work here so any work is better than no work at all and it gets our feet on the ladder. We had given up hope to be honest and therefore have not kept up to date with all the recent changes in Visa's/paper work etc. Any help or advice would be great as abviously we dont want to miss out on this long awaited opportunity. He is 34 so can not get a working holiday visa. What forms etc do we/his employers need to fill in??? BIG THANKYOU'S in advance

  14. I am a Civil Engineer/Site Project Manager with over 15years construction site, experience and training. Over these years I have been employed full time, and the last 6 have been self employed as I launched TJL Surveys Ltd. I have evidence of my skills and knowledge in my up to date CV, company leaflet and two references from my current contract employer of 4years. I have visited Australia (Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne) and completed voluntary work trials, which went well. I felt the Australian construction industry and practices were very similar to that of the UK and all equipment used, I was both competent and confident in using. During this time, I applied for and received my white card. I am looking for job sponsorship to start my Australian career within a well established company. I will be available to relocate within 3-6months. I am currently in the process of applying for my 175 visa, but my family and I are currently renting and ready to move sooner rather than later, which is why I am considering job sponsorship. Any advice or help on gaining sponsorship would be greatly appreciated. Kind Regards Tony Leach TJL Surveys tonyleach77@yahoo.co.uk
