HI Gary,
I am currently in the process of a 176 skilled sponsored visa as my wife's sister's both live in the Sydney area. The application was posted end of of June this year by TrueBlue Migration Service. I am aware that an application of this type can take up to 18 months to process, but we would like to move to Australia as soon as possible.
I have an NVQ level 3 in marine engineering after completing a 4 year apprenticeship at a shipyard. I worked for a further 5 years at the same yard as a marine engineer mechanic installing propulsion trains, steering gear, engines, gearboxes and all things mechanical. After a couple of positions in between, one being a grit stone quarry where I serviced and maintained fixed and mobile plant mainly Cat loaders, swing shovels and dump-trucks for 3 years, I worked for another company as a senior commissioning engineer in the biomass boiler sector, where since January 2009, I have been self-employed. My work mainly focuses on repair and maintenance but over the years, have learnt quite a bit about the electrical side. This included control panel modifications, PLC fault diagnosis and re-programming, electrical fault finding and rectification.
As my sisters-in-law live in the NSW area, I was wondering if you could accommodate me with work in this state to get the ball rolling a bit quicker?
I would be more than happy to forward you a CV if you are interested,
many thanks,
Mike
