  1. Hi all We have returned to Australia after a four year stint back in the UK and my wife is looking for work. We are currently living in the South East suburbs and she is applying for plenty of jobs with no real takers. When we have look online there are various online training courses being offered for the qualifications the jobs are asking for but which is the one to choose? The qualifications are the basic RSA (Responsible Serving of Alcohol) and the FHC (Food Handling Certificate), some offer full online training others offer a mix of on the job and off the job training. One particular course says that she has to do a practical exam and be witnessed doing certain operations, however without the job in the first place, how can she be witnessed to do anything? Some location are local cafe's and others are RSL's etc but we seem to be struggling to get any real interest - it seems like it is incredibly difficult to land jobs at Woolworths and Bunnings etc despite the local store saying they have vacancies it all seems to be online and when I look there are none advertised. Can anyone point us in the right direction or provide any pointers? Thanks in advance.
  2. Apologies for the external links - I have now attached some photographs to the thread and am happy to send on to people if the pictures aren't good enough. The car is available to look at on a very well know Australian car sales website as well.
  3. Hi all, We have for sale our 2006 Grand Voyager 7 seater car due to our upcoming move back to the UK. The car is currently located in Sherbrooke, Victoria which is in the Dandenong Ranges. We have owned the car for 3 years since we arrived in Australia and its in fantastic condition and never misses a beat. The car has recently been serviced and re rego'd so grab yourself a bargin, the car cost me over $35k three years ago so come and get an absolute bargin. I can be contacted on here.
  4. I totally agree with you, I've been here ten months and can absolutely confirm that some of them (most) have very little or no sense of humour at all and no understanding of sarcasm!
  5. Hi all. I know it's not totally related to the OP but, We've been here since the beginning of March this year and our kids are 6 and 5 years old. In my opinion the schooling system and level of discipline within schools here are far behind that of the UK.
