Dear Friends We are visiting Australia (Sydney) from 14 December to 28 December looking for any accommodation but due to Christmas every thing seems very expensive any idea where we can stay with any family by paying them or any cheaper solution. we are family of 5 2 adults and 3 kids. Anybody have any info pls contact i will be much obliged. Regards

Dear Usman I told you inshallah you will have your turn soon allah ka shukar hai that you have got the medical call. A quick question how long Australian high commission takes for visa evidencing as i sent our passports 1 week ago and still no news. pls let me know if any body knows about the time they take and do they send it by tcs or any other means. your help will be much appreciated

Dear Usman please keep your faith inshallah you will get when Allah thinks is right time for u, it took me 8 years to complete this process as back in 2003 my ielts result was 4 days late and they rejected my application so pls be patient inshallah it is on your way

Dear Friends After longgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg wait of almost 3 years we have received our 175 visa today. Dear friends we have done our second medicals on 20th september on the request of the co but still no visa yet :arghh: can some body let me know that how long DIAC takes after medicals i will be much obliged for your help.

I am also in the same thing we had our Meds on 20th September and still there is no sign of any news ................:confused: PLs keep posting it will keep us hopeful...

Dear Zeeshu I have sent query to Medibank as you did 2 days ago but have not received any response yet, by the way we are offshore applicants so do they also reply to the offshore applicants as we had our Meds in IOM in Islamabad on 20th september?

Dear Reza I was in the same situation and they took 16 months for external checks so keep praying inshallah you will hear soon. i understand it is very difficult to stay in confused state for so long but end of the day you will inshallah get it.

Hi friends after long wait of 16 months of external checks i have received a request for new Med and PCC as my previous were expired one year ago. pray for me to get PR this time.

Just for quick info i submitted my application in Jan 2009 got co in june 2009 and submitted form 80 on 1st may 2010 and still waiting for external checks to be finished so you can imagine how long it takes :arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh: But i am still hopeful so u too stay hopeful Inshallah they will finish one day.

But 8 months i sent them the same mail their response was this My inquiry has revealed that ASIO has received a referral for a security assessment in this matter. To ensure that all applications are treated fairly, ASIO processes these cases in the order in which they are received, unless they are allocated priority by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC). I have been advised that this case is being considered in accordance with the priority allocated to it by DIAC.

This is the reply i have got from IGIS and i could not understand what does it mean they will contact me later or this application is not with them pls help me to figure out what does it mean. Dear Mr xxxxxxxx Visa inquiry – I refer to your inquiry concerning any security assessment that may be required for this visa application. The Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) is the agency responsible for conducting security assessments. I have contacted ASIO for information about this visa application to check ASIO’s handling of any security assessment associated with the application. This office can check whether or not ASIO is acting unreasonably or has made a processing error but we are not able to direct ASIO to change the priority of a case, or make the process quicker for a particular applicant. Where we identify an issue requiring resolution, we liaise with the relevant agencies about the issue. We will not provide any other feedback but will contact you if we require any further information about the case. I suggest you maintain contact with the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) for information about the status of the visa application. Pls do let me know what to do now Regards

Dear Poms I am a HR applicant since last 2.5 years. I need some help regarding external checks situation. I have contacted IGIS for the status of of my external checks and they have replied that they have contacted the ASIO for further information as my case is stuck in external checks for more than 13 months. Could anybody tell me that how long it will take to get the response from ASIO? or do they give you any response at all. your help in this regard will be much appreciated.

Hello Friends Need help urgently, i applied my 175 visa in jan 2009, i scored 120 points by using the MODL points as my profession was Network Security, i had a co in June 2009 and submitted my Medical and PCC in July 2009. then they verified my job and then in the end they asked for form 80 in may 2010. After July changes i asked my co regarding my case and he told me that they are making checks as i was falling in category of (Computing Professionals NEC with co assigned ), then again i asked my co 1 month ago no reply and mailed him again last week still no reply. My question is am i still considered as modl applicant or do i have to move to VIC SMP as they have my nominated occupation on their list. Please help me i am so confused do not know what to and if i have to move to SMP then what is the procedure, Your urgent help will me much appreciated.

Initially they call your office if they are not satisfied then they will visit your office to make sure this is what happened with me.
