  1. Hi wrussell - thanks for the quick reply. I'm a little confused, why wouldn't i qualify for direct entry? To move from a 457 to PR i was under the impression i had two choices 1) Tranisiton - which i don't meet due to switching companies 2) Direct Entry - which i thought i qualified for. Maybe one thing i missed from my scenario is i have over 10years experience in my job (which was positively assessed by ACS in March 2010) Thanks Andy
  2. Hey Everyone, Wondering if i could get some advice or if anyone has been in a similar position as I’m getting conflicting advice from agents! So my scenario: 34 IT Consultant (over 10 years experience), originally from England Worked in Australia for 2 years on a 457 visa (two separate companies) Assessed by ACS in March 2010 under 2231-17 ASCO which translates to 261311 ANZCO I want to apply for employer nominated PR (Direct Entry), my question is, do I need to be reassessed by the Australian Computer Society? I’ve been assessed once and have been permanently employed in Australia doing that job for two years. I have one agent saying I do, one agent saying I don’t as it can be mapped to a new ANZCO code! I spoke with immigration and they said I wouldn’t need to but I’m never sure if the people you speak to on the help desk fully understand what the circumstance etc Any advice would be gratefully appreciated! Cheers Andy
  3. Afternoon all, The company i work for has gone into administration, however a rival company has reached an agreement with the administrators for the transfer of key staff under a 'Deed of Company Agreement (DOCA)' which includes all entitlements (length of service etc etc). Thankfully I'm to be included as part of the transfer which means i still have a job! I was wondering if anyone know's how immigration would view this when applying for PR (i will have been here 2 years in September), will i still be able to claim i have worked for the same company for two years and be able to apply for company sponsorship? Thanks in advance!
