  1. guys come and join us on the Facbook group GSM Priority Group 5 – Forgotten visa we are discussing and doing our best to get our voices heard!
  2. Good day, guys.. check out this article: http://insidestory.org.au/living-at-the-wrong-end-of-the-queue
  3. Good day guys.. Please join our group on Facebook.. we are doing the best to get the minister of immigration to know about the suffering we have had and we keep looking forward to hearing from them and seeing a positive action soon.. finger crossed :->
  4. I have an important question guys.. Do we have to re-assess our occupation to change over from ASCO to ANZSCO. I asked my agent and he told me that ACS "Australian Computer Society" would take 500 Australian Dollars and he want 1500 Australian dollars to submit the new assessment to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection. Provided that the assessment would be till the time I applied my application "the new degrees as well as the new work for the last 6 years of waiting will not assessed as it is not a new application. It is only to have the ANZSCO! If there is such thing why did we have that re-assessment since July 2010 when the ANZSCO started! I'm confused as my ASCO code is 2231-11 System Manager and its ANZSCO is either 262113 Systems Administrator or 262111 Database Administrators as "DIAC ENDORSED CORRELATIONS FROM ASCO OCCUPATIONS TO ANZSCO OCCUPATIONS - AS AT 1 JULY 2010" and the wrote at that time in the list of ANSCO_ANZSCO: This document provides all ASCO-ANZSCO occupation correlations endorsed by DIAC. This list does not distinguish between those occupations included on Skilled Occupation Lists or other legislative Instruments, and those occupations correlated for historical reporting purposes only. It is to be viewed as a list of DIAC- endorsed occupation correlations, at a particular point in time, for general information purposes only. & Provides ASCO to ANZSCO correlations for use in reporting pipeline cases assessed in ASCO but that need to be reported in ANZSCO to maintain comparative historical program reporting My agent reply: The ASCO has ceased and is no longer in use. In July Immigration will provide a new SOL and your nominated occupation must be on that list. It is wise to make sure your occupation is on the list before embarking on a new skills assessment and the cost involved. Immigration may also provide a new time frame for the processing of your existing visa application. BUT: a friend of mine got his visa on his ASCO not ANZSCO.. that means we should re-assess or no need?!
  5. they change only the way to represent cat. 5 Sponsored & Regional Sponsored applicants! same stuff with different presentation.. since * means "is not currently being processed" :-/
  6. Good day, Anyone knows about this information I just found! I have had no idea and my agent haven't contacted me.. what I have to do according to what I read about Skill Select.. I'm confused! Skilled – Regional Sponsored (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 475) The department is not accepting any new applications for this visa. The following information applies to you, if you lodged an application for this visa subclass on or before 30 June 2012. If you are interested in the Points Tested skilled migration you must use SkillSelect to submit an Expression of Interest for a skilled visa. You are able to submit an Expression of Interest from anywhere in the world. See: SkillSelect If you are a provisional visa holder and you want to apply for a second provisional visa or add a family member to your application you may be eligible to apply for the Skilled Regional (Provisional) subclass 489 visa. See: Skilled – Nominated or sponsored (Provisional) (subclass 489) visa http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/475/adding-family-members.htm http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/ is that new info. & what exactly we should do!
  7. hi all, any new news about subclass 475 "FS" of cat. 5!!!!! I have been waiting for more than 5 years and when I applied it was stated that our applications are going to be processed between 12-18 months!

  10. hi all.. could u plz tell me about 475 family sponsored "category 5" applied in Sep. 2008?! any chance to be processed in 2013-2014! many thanks and all the best to all of us>
  11. <p><p>hey how r u doing ...long time b in touch take care</p></p>

  12. hi every1, According to the new rules of July 2012.. "As you have not been nominated by a state or territory government, and your nominated occupation is not on the SOL in effect from 1 July 2012, your application is in priority group 5 for the purposes of priority processing arrangements As your GSM visa application was lodged before the legislative changes made on 1 July 2010, you are eligible to seek a nomination from any state or territory government." My application is in Subclass 475 Skilled - Regional Sponsored Visa (Family Sponsored).. Cat. 5 Also I got the ASCO 2231-11 which is co-related to ANZSCO 262111 and 262113. "262111 is in the new Victoria SMP list" Could you please guide me how to apply for the state nominations? Do I need IELTS test again? and what is the exact requirements! to my understanding it's within the same application to switch for State Sponsor with no need for a new skilled assessment as well as new IELTS test and paying for a new application fees as my agent believes that "DIAC didn't mention that"! please let me hear from you.. I have been waiting since September 2008 and advice from you would help to start applying to get the nomination for Victoria or SA state! Many thanks in advance & wish all of us the best of luck
