  1. 4x2 on average easy care block available for rent. Furnished or unfurnished. Close to Healthcare and Education campus. Can send link and pics if interested. Available from mid Feb. Cheers
  2. Hi Steph. We are in Bunbury and looking to rent our 4x2 on a furnished 6 month lease while we go off travelling. Drop me a pm if you are still looking in Nov (that's when you are coming across) as we may be between tenants.
  3. Have you been on Bunbury Buy and Sell Facebook page? Its great. We didn't bring much with us (which was a huge mistake) but its great for all the stuff you'll find you need for this summer. Boogie boards, fishing rods, snorkel sets, flippers, swags,.......... Aparrently this year is gonna be a hot one! Glad to see you've settled in and are liking Bunbury.
  4. You'll get stung with holiday rentals! We thought it sounded ok when we first came across but it was really expensive. I'd suggest getting references that don't mind being contacted before you land. The rental agencies like to follow up on them. There are short term residental rentals available. You'll have to have a bond and rent money available - probably set you back around $1000 to start with. Bunbury is a great place to live if you have kids. We've been here for over 5 years. Good luck with the move
  5. Collie is inland and doens't have a huge amount going for it. Most people who work in Collie's mining industry commute from Bunbury and surrounds. Bus and car pooling is huge to and from Bunbury to Collie.
  6. Local shops have noticeboards with loads of stuff for sale. We're near the Parks Centre and the board always has bit n pieces advertised. And seriously, if you can get over the stigma the Salvo's are Great! There's 2 different depots round the back of Bunnings area. One Charity shop is dedicated to furniture (may be the Vinnie's one) and the other is general stuff.

    Bunbury?

We've been in Bunbury for just over 5 years. Its not a good place to base yourself if you're young free and single, but if you have a young family its great. You're never more than a few minutes away from the beach. Good job opportunities, good choice of schools and housing. When we arrived in 2006 you didn't hear many other accents apart from Australian. Now its very multicultural. With the influx of 'foreigners - we being among them!)' its becoming quite a friendly little city. Lots of sports for kids to do and mums groups. Its small enough to feel safe, yet large enough to accommodate most people. Bunbury has a good central library, hospitals (state and private), FE colleges and a University Campus. The Health Campus is being added to all the time to accommodate the growning population south of Perth. Train and bus service is shocking - but do-able for a day out! most people who have to commute drive to Mandurah and get the train in to Perth from there. Cheers Saz
