Hi everyone Myself, my wife and teenage kids have just got our PR visa's and on the grant letter it gives a website for IOM. When you look at the site it gives an email address as IOMAustralia@iom.int so that new PR visa holders can get concessions on flights and stuff. I've tried but the email won't send. Does anybody know what i'm doing wrong? Murky

Thanks Matt I will check that out:smile: Murky

Hi Ellie Thanks for the quick reply How long does it take for you grandson to get there each day, is it by bus? How close are Umina, Terrigal,Erina as Umina isn't one of the places I have looked into as yet? Sorry for firing questions at you but after the limbo of waiting so long for visa we had given up looking at stuff. Would your grandson be willing to pm my son to give him some much needed info? Hi Guys will anybody answer this question that has probably been asked many times before, sorry? Now that we have the visa's what do we do, send passports off for stamps or something? I know i probably sound really thick but after the initial shock of getting it we don't know what to do now? Murky

Hi there We were in the same position but had been asked th do meds by CO the first time, we were asked to re-do them again in september. We were totally paranoid about the talk of SMPs coming out and where that would leave us again. But by a miracle we were given visa today. Don't give up hope i think your time will come now quickly i'm sure:biggrin: Murky

Thanks jodie The wife came running upstairs with the unopened letter thinking by some miracle that we had been granted visas. But seeing as more people are getting CO's than are receiving visa's I worry that the DIAC are taking everyone for a ride again making as many people shell out for re-do of meds and pcc's, only to be told sorry get to the back again. We only just started to look at cost of flights and containers and stuff again this week. I knew I might have jinxed myself. Completely paranoid:arghh: Murky

Hi All I just recieved my PCC's on Thursday morning and had to dash of to Manchester to deliver them to migration agent as they gave that day as a deadline. I got a letter in post today saying that they had sent off all outstanding documentation needed yet again and that it would take at least 3 months to finalize. Hope not as this is all deja vu as this all happened last year. Requested by CO to get meds and pcc's submitted everything, got same letter of agent then WHAM 3 weeks later priorities changed and thrown to back of queue. Now talk of SMP has got me seriously worried as a lot could happen again within 3 months of waiting. Oh bugger  Murky

hope you sort out your application soon. Have a look at the thread I suggested it will help. Good Luck Murky

Hi TRA = trades recognition authority (vitesses) SS = State sponsorship CO = case officer ( person at DIAC that deals with your application) A very rare species. Murky

Hi You will be catergory 3 so I would look at the 'catergory 3 where are you now' thread for ideas on how long you might have to wait. I'm also a plumber and used an agent as I couldn't imagine doing all the paperwork myself it has to be spot on, well worth the money. But I and a lot of others have been waiting nearly 3 years for our visa's and they are only just getting around to sorting these out. Murky

Hi reza I don't know whether you are 'already aware of the situation' although enough people have told you (including myself) OR telling people not to be so serious means you are trying to wind everybody up with the same questions? You really need to understand that other people have been waiting a hell of a longer and we are ALL desperate for a CO and visa, so take a chill pill matey! Murky

Thanks Charmed I do hope so, I WANT TO BE A PURPLE:jiggy::jiggy: Mrs Murky

Hi All Just to say we have re-done meds on Monday in Manchester. It wasn't too bad an experience as Dr Smith remembered us all from last year and was really nice, we would recommend him to everyone. Police clearance has gone off yesterday, we hope they come back quickly as the guy on the phone says they are taking less than 10 days at the moment. So lets hope for a visa very soon. Hope for some more pinkies tommorrow to finish off the week! Hi reza Please read the thread i mentioned it will tell you that they are treating 176 and 175 as one and the same and are dealing with the backlog now from 2008 onwards. These years were put on hold in march last year when the priorities were changed and we were all thrown to the back of the queue. There have been COs and Visa's approved to newer applicants but they are few and far between. Murky

Hi reza You are Cat 3 at the moment and if you look at the thread Cat 3 where are you now you will see that that are processing JULY 2008 at the moment thats all old dinosaurs like me so I think you will have a longish wait, but you ahve been told that on here and on the british expats site as well. If you don't believe anything anybody tells you why keep asking peoples opinion? Murky
