  1. Isn’t there a 186 or 187 with the age limit of 50?
  2. I’m a 46 year old hairdresser/tutor and also manager experience. I have a sister who is a citizen in Melbourne and just wondering is there any way I can get a visa to live there. I tried a few years ago and passed my TRA assessment and IELTS test then they changed criteria. I don’t know whether I can apply for a regional skilled visa or am I too old plus if I can does anybody know of any business willing to sponsor me. I have 30 years experience. cheers
  3. Have you had any luck on an information regarding this visa. I am looking for a sponsorship and some employers are finding this information hard to achieve.
  4. It's Shelly who spoke to you a while ago just before you were moving out there, my hubby is a Hgv driver for dhl, do you remember speaking to me lol. How's it going? Have you settled in? Bet it's better than Warrington. When we finally arrive out there I hope there will be loads of driving jobs for hubby. Do you know how much it costs to get his licence changed and anything else he needs to do as well. Shelly and Crichton

  9. Hi I've got mine booked in Liverpool on the 3rd, I need an 8 in all bands. I'm so nervous and dreading it. This is my first one, do you use a computer or is it all done by pen and paper I haven't a clue!!! LOL. Need a large vodka after I've done it. Shelly
  10. Hi I am using Go Matilda and found them really helpful but I must say that you still have to fill a lot of the information in yourself, if its a pretty straight forward application I would give it a go yourself. But thats just my opinion!! If its going to be a difficult TRA I would use an agent and would highly recommend Go Matilda Shelly
  11. Hi My oh is a HGV driver for DHL so it's not an option for him to be the main applicant and although he work for DHL he can not get a transfer because DHL dont do it to Australia. And my sister can't sponser me yet because she and her Hubby has only just got permanent residency. Just need a lucky opening to get in there.
  12. Hi all This is my story so far, my sister and family emigrated in Sept 2009 and me and my family visited in Jan 2010 for 5 weeks. We absolutely loved it so when we arrived home we done lots of research and decided to go ahead with the visa process. I'm a hairdresser and a hairdressing tutor so applied to go to Melbourne and as we started the process they took hairdressers off the skilled list, so gutted!!! Anyway after a few months of trying a few different options my agent came up with Adelaide so more research and my sister and family even went there for a holiday to check things out, all seemed great. Applied for TRA and passed then applied for State sponsership on 18th March 2011, sent documents on 7 th April and after what seemed like forever and money paid towards agents fees, my application was refused because they have enough applications for hairdressers. This was our worse nightmare and because i'm 40 years old the new points system which applies in July I might not reach the points unless I do an IELTS test and pass at a high level. I'm going to give it another go and I hate defeat LOL!!! If anyone is out there and needs a excellent hairdresser or tutor could they please sponser me and I will pay the costs, just want to start a life in oz with my OH and family and hopefully be near my sister one day. :arghh:
