Hey Danny, sorry for being late in replying, i am looking for work in the IT field. It is quite hard to land a job here having no local experience/references. A lot of people on this forum may agree. I am considering looking for other apartments also in the city. I like Adelaide a lot, people are friendly and laid back. But i am a city boy and always want to be around people. Don't enjoy falling in a routine and like to go out during the week as well. Adelaide is good for families or slow lifestyle. It does get very quiet during the week. I always need more than that Hit me in private msgs so i can reply faster, maybe we can get together for a coffee/beer when u arrive, i will gladly offer any advice/help if i can.

Hey Danny, I think i can offer a little advise in that matter, we both have a similar profile..i just moved to Adelaide 2 months ago. I am a single 31 yr old also on a tight budget and looking to socialise and have a good night life until i get a job. I am currently residing in the city cos the suburbs are a little too dead for me. It is a little more expensive than the suburbs as i have a 1 br apt, but it works out the same if u decide to take transportation to city everyday ....So i thought i prefer to walk around and explore...I rarely take transportation unless i wana go to the beach. North Adelaide is a nice area but not as lively as the city...Mind you Adelaide is a small city so very quiet during the week. Avg rent per week for a studio would be 200+ in the city. I would recommend the city or any close area around the city as other members suggested. If you r also looking to save money, it is frugal to eat at home, so if u r commuting in the city..very easy to go back home and eat and go out at again..Just a tip ... Hope any of this helps... After years of ups and downs with the one of the most unstable processes i have seen. I FINALLY GOT THE GRANT!!!!!!! i couldn't stop smiling all day at work i even had to go and close the bathroom door and scream out of joy :chatterbox::arghh: . I was like a little child who got a new toy :wink: The feeling is beyond ecstatic, orgasmic, Joyful ............ I haven't posted here many times, but when i did it was out of anger and venting out!!!! I am still on cloud number 9, i am off to SA Adelaide to smell the sea and take in all this new life one step at a time. I wish the best for anyone who has been waiting that long, i agree it took over me and obesessed over it like i have OCD (hehehehe):twitcy: This Forum is a great place for group therapy, amazing people with excellent posts and a great support system. I am inspired by the help and advice flowing all over the place in here. Knowing there is people out there who are in the same boat is very comforting too.
