  1. Hi all I posted a long time ago about Parent visa strategies and the advice I received was brilliant and saved a lot of heartache. 3 years on my parents have now lodged their onshore Aged Parent Visa a week or so ago. They are currently on a eVisitor visa with no restrictions. However, their tourist visa expires in 2 days and there has not been any bridging visa granted as yet. The migration agent has stressed that there is nothing to worry about, and that the bridging visa will be activated upon current visa expiry...but as you can imagine, 2 days out from the visa expiry and the thought of them having to leave is causing quite a bit of panic in the household and I'm a little concerned for the stress it is causing them. Has anyone else been through this experience? Are we right to be panicking? Or is it as the agent has said that the bridging visa will be activated one the current visa expires? Any thoughts greatly appreciated macca
