  1. hi everyone, i would like to seek help if anyone from here shared my current situation. we are on a 475 visa and about to lodge our PR. we have a son who is 19 yo living with us ever since, currently studying full time but is now taking casual job of an average 3 days a week. our concern is his being working part time can affect his status as our dependent come assessment of our PR visa application. i would appreciate any reply especially advice to this query. thanking in advance.
  2. please update my details, visa grant 05 sept 2012.
  3. After 34 months of waiting, we have finally received our golden ticket to oz. I received the great news from my very efficient CO from Team 7 yesterday 05 Sept. We will be heading to SA the state that sponsor us and hopefully to live and stay in SA probably in Adelaide for good and keep our promise when we requested our state's sponsorship. I hope and pray that every one waiting will get their own share of joy in His perfect time. I tell you, it's really sweet to get your visa granted. Good luck and God Bless for all of us... For info, I got our CO on 18 May 2012, Secured our medicals and PCC on 29 June 2012, my daughter's medical was referred for further review on 06 July and got finalized on 01 Sept then came the visa grant after 3 days from the date my daughter's medical got finalized.
  4. Now I know what others felt when they received their visa grants coz we received ours yesterday 05 Sept. The pain of waiting for 34 months was replaced with joy in an instant, i almost cried yesterday when I saw the email from my CO bringing the great news. BTW our CO needs to be commended because he really acts so fast. My CO is from Team 7. I'll continue praying for those who are still waiting and i earnestly hope to see you in the land down under. we are being asked to make the initial entry before 29 June 2012, the date when my medical was finalized. We will be heading to SA probably in Adelaide. Lastly, I would like to say thank you to this forum and to all nice guys that became my source of inspiration to keep sane and survive the ordeal of waiting. See you guys.
  5. hi pumpkinhead, please update my status. my daughter's medical has been finalized yesterday 01 Sept 2012. Btw, I'am from the Philippines. good luck to all those waiting for their medicals to be finalized. good day. 3jps.
  6. hi pumpkinhead, 475 State Sponsored (SA) Lodgement date: 16 October 2009 CO assigned: 18 May 2012
  7. hi please include me in this thread. my daughter's medical was referred on 06 July 2012. No development since then.
  8. Hi virtual_bajwa huge congratz on your visa grant. i hope for a better future for you andfor your family.
  9. Great news. congrats mlsdq. btw, when do you intend to make the big move? cheers.
  10. thanks mlsdq. my co wanted me to substantiate my employment by submitting several documents like tax payments, pay slips, bank statements and social security payments as proof of employment.
  11. nice to hear that you really got a co. i am hoping for a speedy visa grant for you.huge congrats.
  12. my fellow cat5's, in anticipation of the possible processing of cat5s by end May i would like to solicit advice from anyone because my daughter will turn 18 next month on what to do to prove that she is still our dependent and should remain part of our visa application. i understand she will also be required to prove English proficiency. Would it be sufficient to show that she studied in a high school and is studying in a university that uses both English as medium of instructions in lieu of the IELTS? I hope to hear your thoughts on this. Of course I will not forget extending my greetings to VB for getting his CO at last. Congrats VB and I wish you'll get your long overdue visa asap..cheers! 3jps.
  13. thanks kabayan and congrats for getting your CO. you're just a month ahead of my application. me too is an offshore applicant sponsored by SA. I hope you will get your visa soon. God Bless and wish you all the luck. 3jps
  14. thank you bright guy. now i understand that i need to appreciate the onshore and offshore streams across categories to see your point.
  15. sorry for having a problem on english comprehension but can you cat43r who is more intellect than this dumb fellow can further explain this "we will begin allocating onshore cases first, offshore cases will follow once there are no higher priority cases available for allocation." what the meaning of this phrase? please share your thoughts bright guy.
  16. does this mean there are sub categories within cat 5, onshore and offshore and that offshore will be tackled once all the onshore applicants have been allocated to co?
  17. i believe that showing negative outburst regarding the predicament of Cat 5 from time to time is healthy to release disappointment and maintain ones sanity. however, if this negativeness and pessimist stance especially if you keep barking repeatedly your sad experience with DIAC again and again and again and again it became an irritant to someone who regularly visit this thread with hope to see something positive development. i understand the frustrations attendant to the way DIAC has treated cat 5, but i cannot stop hoping that eventually the people from DIAC will see some favorable reasons for them commence processing cat 5 like employment prospect, etc.
  18. dear all, greetings! i'm a 475 or temporary visa applicant and i want to seek advice from every one. my query concerns the three year prescription period being given to a 475 visa holder to secure permanent visa. my question is when will the clock start ticking is it from the time the visa was approved or it is the time of your actual first entry to OZ? I asked this because an applicant is given a year to enter oz following the visa grant. thank you and God Bless Us All. 3jps.
  19. dear all, according to SA immi web site, SA SMP and SSML have been finalized. but when i looked at the SMML, i got confused because i believe it's the same SSML posted in july. i'm sad because my nominated occupation is still in the offlist. can some one clarify this. thanks. 3jps
  20. hi bj27, i agree on your take on this. the capacity of the current COs is more than the current rate of applications from higher PGs. so once the backlog from the higher PGs are settled, i'm hopeful that some cat5s will be processed onward assuming of course that a status quo on the priority processing arrangement remains. i'm a cat5 too and i'm hanging on this rationale. God Bless us all.
  21. does this link suggests that cat5s who received letter from diac already have COs?
  22. i think SA's off list nomination is only available for onshore applicants.
  23. Does it mean that diac have processed old cat4 (now cat5) as in the case of sc80 below? 2 years and 4 months wait is finally over ... we got our visa! Hi all, I would like to share the good news with all in pomsinoz; my 2 year 4 months of wait is over. I have been on and off here, frustrated with the changes and all. Then one day, my mailbox shows I have the grant letter .... finally! My special thanks to Gollywobbler (who sadly no longer around the forums), Reza (for his information on adding de-facto/spouse), VickyMel , siamsusie pumpkin, GeorgeD, _shel and everyone else that I may have unintentionally left out for the support, encouragement and sharing their experiences here. My timeline: Date applied: 03 March 2009 s175 (MODL/SOL) Low Risk (LR) country Medical checked: 03 April 2009, police clearance done Priority changed Sept 2009, s175 given lowest priority Applied for NSW SS and granted: 10 Sept 2009, changed to s176 (cat2) Priority changed again, s176 and s175 priority goes further down (cat5) unless you are in CSL/ENS AU election ... everything on hold again ... ---looong wait ---- NSW election ... SMP on hold the longest of all states SMP out in 03 Mar 2011 - My occupation no longer listed ... (cat4 for having SS but not SMP) CO first contact: 03 April 2011 Asked for S80, F47A, de-facto evidence, spouse IELTS, etc Health check re-done, police clearance re-done Visa granted: 12 Jul 2011, must enter AU for validation by Dec 06, 2011 I guess I am the last few dinasours to be out ... Best of luck everyone! Last edited by sc80; Today at 04:07 AM.
  24. congrats, can you please enlightened me as to how you were able to be processed under the old cat4 when other old cat4 applicants with much older applications than yours have never been given COs. And with the latest developments, most of them were regrouped under cat5 with prospect of being processed only this program year.
