  1. Hi Stu, Thank you for your reply! Yes, seems that we are arriving at the same time! I will PM you! Cheers, Nata
  2. Hi Everyone, I have been reading and posting on this forum for about 3 years now, and finally Skilled visa was granted and i am coming to Adelaide! We are two females (mother and daughter) arriving to Adelaide on 20th of February 2013. We are looking for a short term rentals at least for 10-14 days, preferably in Adelaide CBD or any other place that is near shops and bus/train station, as we won't be having a car for the first month or so. However, the ideal will be finding a room in a house to share, until we find long term rentals for ourselves. It would be good if we could share with a family or female owner. Please let me know if you are interested in offering us any options or require any additional info about ourselves! Thank you in advance! Nata

New Category 5's - Where are you now?

Hi, Have you received this letter? I have received it on 12th of July, and i am 2009 applicant

Hi mlsdq , Thanks for your reply! I also received the same letter from DIAC that i am Cat 5! On the same date or later SA has released their new SMP with my occuaption on their off-list. BUT, i think that DIAC have prepared the text for these letters at least couple days beforehand and i don't think that they have matched our occupations with SA off list. Also, i think, by the time when DIAC have prepared these letters to us, SA even didn't release their SMP, and therefore DIAC just had the old info in their sysytem that we are in the lowest priority and have sent out these letters to all of us. I will not be surprised at all that they have messed it all. Also, i have sent PLE to DIAC on Friday about this issue on the off list occupations. I have attached the link of this statement on DIAC web site (about off list occupations are moved to Cat 3) and also asked them why did they sent me a letter saying that i am Cat 5 at the same time. So i am also waiting for soonest reply from DIAC and will post it here, once i get it. Please also post yours, once DIAC gets back to you. I think that there is no double meaning, that "applicants who were nominated by a state or territory government for an 'off-list' occupation prior to the implementation of state migration plans will also receive processing under priority group 3, because you and myself were nominated by a state before the implementation of state migration plan in 2009, right? Now, our occupations appeared for an off-list in SMP, so i think that SA just treats those few applicants, whom they have sponsored before SMP. And yes, it is super weired that DIAC didn't reply you with a clear answer. Anyway, i think that DIAC will get back to me with reply and we will have a confirmation that we are now moved to Cat 3! Fingers crossed for all of us:wubclub: Nata
  7. Thanks for your reply! I have applied to get SS on a general conditions of SA and my occupation was on their list. I have applied before the implementation of state migration plans in 2009. However, now my occupation is included in Off list criteria, so doesn't DIAC says that As a transitional arrangement, applicants who were nominated by a state or territory government for an 'off-list' occupation prior to the implementation of state migration plans will also receive processing under priority group 3. Thanks!
  8. Hi jackd, The below message from DIAC clearly says that if you are sponsored by State under Off list occupation, then you also receive Priority 3: As a transitional arrangement, applicants who were nominated by a state or territory government for an 'off-list' occupation prior to the implementation of state migration plans will also receive processing under priority group 3. http://www.immi.gov.au/media/fact-sh...ty_skilled.htm Don't you agree?? Why do you still consider yourself as Cat 5?? It seems that SA now treats all their sponsored applicants and give us Priority Nata
  9. Hi Jackd, What SS do you hold, is it SA? Are you now moved into Cat 3, since your occupation in in off list list of SA?? Nata
  10. BIG Congards!!!!!:jiggy: So what was your CATEGORY? Were you Priority 4? Or your occupation was on new SOL? Please let us know.. Have a great celebrating! Nata

Hi Mlsdq, So, is this all true, and we are now Category 3??!! Is this confirmed? How do you feel about that? Do you remember, we were in the same boat with you all the time: got SS in 2009, then all the changes, and then SA didn’t include us in their SMP of 2011 and we stuck in Priority 4. So now my occupation also appears in SA off list. I still can’t believe that I am now receiving good priority! Please, please reconfirm me!
  12. Hi Majorie, Is your occupation indicated in WA SMP "off-list" occupations? As SA just released the SMP with many off-list occupations that apparently were previous state sponsored occupations before SMP. This statement clearly confirms that these occupations that are now indicated in SMP as off list occuaptions will be also processed as Category 3. Do you agree? Here is the link: ..... As a transitional arrangement, applicants who were nominated by a state or territory government for an 'off-list' occupation prior to the implementation of state migration plans will also receive processing under priority group 3. http://www.immi.gov.au/media/fact-sh...ty_skilled.htm Therefore, just check if WA has included your occupation in their latest SMP or to the off list occupations of SMP. Nata
  13. Dear All, I just noticed that my occupation have showed up on the recent SMP of SA as "off-list" occupation. ( i have received SS back in 2009). Does it mean that SA finally treated all applicants who were granted state sponosrhip back in 2009 and we will get normal priority? Pls confirm me if you are sure, that we are now moved from new Cat 5 to new Cat 3. If so, this is SO BRILLIANT NEWS, isn't it??!!:wub:I was feeling so sick having the state sponsorship of SA and be in the lowest priority! This is the quote from DIAC web site: Applications from people who are applying under the RSMS are processed as priority group 1. Those applying under the ENS are processed as priority group 2. Applications from people who are nominated by a state or territory government agency with a nominated occupation that is specified on the state or territory's state migration plan receive the third highest level of priority processing..... As a transitional arrangement, applicants who were nominated by a state or territory government for an 'off-list' occupation prior to the implementation of state migration plans will also receive processing under priority group 3. http://www.immi.gov.au/media/fact-sh...ty_skilled.htm Please let me know.. Thank you in advance Nata
