  1. Many thanks. He worked in construction in Adelaide so luckily he meets the criteria.....only trouble is whether he can still get a reference from his employer from 5 yrs ago! Thanks again for your help
  2. Hi Is it possible for someone to get another working holiday visa after already having one for a year several years ago? Everything I read tells me not but i was sure that you could go back to Australia on another WHV after 3 or 4 yrs? If this is not the case then how is it possible to get a visa to work if you are not on the skills list. I have a PR visa and want my brother to come over. He has NVQs in construction and skills in machinery operation so I know he would get a great job but his occupation does not directly appear on the skills list. Thanks
  3. Hi He's 53. He did not do an apprenticeship in floor and wall tiling, He did a week long course i think. But has been doing domestic and commercial tiling (including council buildings) for a few yrs. Thanks
  4. :goofy: Im a bit confused so any advice would be greatly appreciated! I moved over here with a PR visa in Jan. My parents are considering their options and how they could move here to be with us. We looked into the parent visa but i've just noticed that my dads trades are listed on the skilled workers visa list -he's a wall and floor tiler and general plumber. So he has two trades which are on the list. Does anyone know which visa it would be best to go for? Im thinking the skilled visa as the wait will be less than the parent visa and they certainly cant afford the cpv. They are both still v.early 50's and very healthy. But is he too old to get the skilled visa? thanks x
