Interesting observation Ken, I've noticed that too. Even when financial round of the TV news bothers mentioning rates against other than USD, the GBP rate gets a split second flashing on the screen, and hardly any verbal report. I suppose the GBP rate is not of any interest to Aussie businesses ?

Hello everyone, What has been your experience with various international money transfer companies? Which one gives the best rates? Which one is easier to deal with? Any ideas welcome.

NAB is one of the big four. I opened an account with NAB in Australia when I got there for first entry. All you need is a passport to prove identity. Remember most banks in Australia have a monthly charge to maintain even the most basic of accounts but NAB did not have this charge Some will waive it, provided a certain amount is paid in every month.
