Hi Scott & Emma

Like you, we're not on PIO very often, so please do use the email address I gave you on my previous message when things are less manic for you!

Good luck with all your planning and I hope you're able to sell everything you need to quickly - hopefully get to speak to you again soon.

Hi Scott & Emma

Congratulations, what a great Christmas pressie that was. As it happens, we got our visas today (Friday 14th January) - we had a phone call from our agent and I couldn't stop screaming down the phone saying I couldn't believe it.

It would be good to stay in touch, so if your interested, it's probably easier if I give you our email address: michelle.hodge03@gmail.com

I hope to speak to you again soon... and congratulations.....it's finally all happening!

Hi Scott and Emma

Are agent contacted us yesturday (Wed 10th Nov) to say that they our Meds & Police Checks have been requested! A complete bolt from the blue as we weren't expecting that until next year. We have to get all the results to Sydney by 8th December, so we've got our Meds next week in Cardiff and we will complete the Police Check Form as soon as we can. Typical though.......nothing happens for months and then this! Our agent has advised us that once our checks have been reviewed and accepted, the wait before a visa is allocated will be approximately 8-12 weeks. Hope everything goes well with yours and keep in touch.

Hi Simon and Michelle, great to hear from you again, I also think it will still be a slow process, but if we see movement soon in CAT2 then I will be happy, hope you are all keeping well, I will message you again later, I am off to work and just popped on to see what was happening.

Hi Scott & Emma

I'm sure you've heard that VIC released their SMP yesturday (1st Nov) and that Plumbers are on it - thank God for that! Although it's being called a "State Eligibility List", our agent has confirmed that this is in fact the SMP that we have all been waiting for. Our agent also advised us that the DIAC are still giving a 15 month times scale from application submitted/SS granted to visa approval. I know you recieved your SS just before us, but the 15 months will be up in March 2011! We're not convinced that this will be met, as after the slow down between July 1st & Nov 1st, we're expecting maybe a 4 month delay. That is providing there are no more interuptions! Anyway, it would be good to hear from you again and catch up, so hopefully we'll speak again soon.

Hi Scott & Emma, good tohear from you but sorry it's taken me so long to reply. The school's broke up for the summer holiday's and so did I! I did try posting a message to you yesturday, but for some reason it wouldn't let me - maybe I wrote too much! We're in the same position as you at the moment.........going no where fast! We're hoping that the now resolved Oz election will start things moving in the right direction, but we're not expecting anything to happen this year.

Hope your trip "down south" was a good one, and stay in touch.

Hi Simon and Michelle, hope all is well, good to hear from you again. I have not really had much activity on PIO as there never seems to be any relevant info (untill the SMP list comes out). I contacted Vic state regarding the SMP and was given a rather abrupt response, so would not recomend it, We are off to Silverstone this weekend (F1), and are going to stay down south for a few days to give me a break from work. Not got any news on the visa, what about you.

Will message you again when I am back,

Hi Scott

I haven't been on PIO for ages, so I thought I would get in touch and ask how things are going for you? It would be great to hear from you, so if you can, please get in touch.

Hi Jo

Just thought I would let you know that we have finally recieved our 176 Vic SS. Our application should now be winging it's way to the DIAC where it sits and waits it's turn. Not too sure how long it will be before we are assigned a Case Officer, but at least it's a step in the right direction.

I hope everything is good with you since we spoke. Take care and hopefully speak soon.

Joanna, we've been having a few "technical" issues with the internet, so was only just able to get back on PIO. Good for you for giving it a go - if you don't try, you'll never know. I really hope it all works out for you and that you're very happy in Australia. I'll try "adding you" to my PIO friends, so stayin touch and let me know how it all goes for you.

Michelle, I have never been to australia - ever. My daughter didnt do the 11+ - well because in N Ireland it doesnt exist anymore from this primary 7 year. I think we will go for the 457 Visa if we know for def that the $4500 bill x 2 wont have to be paid. I have 3 daughters, 2 of which are school age. I dont think I wont like Sydney, I went to the states a few years ago & would have stayed there no problem with their lifestyle - only it isnt as easy to get in there. I know Oz is something similar with a more laid back life style. We are going to give it a year minimum with my hubbys job & see what happens from there.

 15.
click on my name jo13 & it should give you the option to add me - i hope! LOL
