What is the point of this forum then? Promotion of migration agents? Why not just close this forum and have contact details of a few migration agents?
I am all for people choosing a migration agent IF THEY WANT TO - but the purpose of this forum is to discuss migration issues. Information seekers should not be rudely advised of paying by the hour to a migration agent!!
"IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUIRED" by OP shows that he/she has short time left for his/her application and came to PIO community to seek some advice!
To OP - I don't have an answer to your question but I'm sure a lot of people will jump on-board to help you with your query (and without asking you to pay for it!!)
Not sure if this is the right thread to post this.

Long awaited details:
On 1 July 2011 a new points test for skilled migrants will come into effect.
Information about the points test, which visas are affected and how this relates to those eligible students and former student visa holders for transitional arrangements is available.

That's correct - you are granted a residency permit once you land in NZ but it expires once you leave NZ. So if you want to come back, you'll still need a valid Australian residency visa.
If you stay in NZ for 4 years (or maybe 5 - I'm not sure), you are eligible to apply for NZ Citizenship.
I understand that Australian permanent residents are issued with a residency permit on their arrival to New Zealand.
My question is that do they actually put a label in you passport or just a stamp?
See the attached flowchart to understand the DIAC's health requirements process for visa applicants.
Some of you may even enjoy the complete report.

How long, on average, does it take for medicals to be finalised?
My friend has completed her medicals today at Medibank Health Services Melbourne, and is a bit anxious to find out the time-frame.
Cheers!
