  1. Hi melbourneguy, Here it is. Applicant approved - ready for citizenship ceremony. Please await letter from Department.
  2. Thanks. The letter says that due to the long waiting times in the Council, the ceremony we will attend is a simple ceremony where there will be no refreshments or speeches or gifts. I'm so sorry Melbourneguy, I tried to log in to check the status, but I could not recall my password. I sent Immi an email to reset my password but no reply has come through. Once I'm able to log in. I'll post the status here.
  3. my timeline: 04 June 2014 - application online (noted Blacktown as my preferred Council) 06 June 2104 - received test schedule via email 13 June 2014 - citizenship test and approval letter (dated same day) 21 June 2014 - approval letter received by mail 21 Aug 214 - invitation letter received 05 Sep 2014 - ceremony at DIBP Parramatta I noted in my application I had planned travel in Dec. The letter says that due to the long waiting times in the Council, the ceremony we will attend is a simple ceremony where there will be no refreshments or speeches or gifts.
  4. I rang the Citizenship hotline today. I was told my invitation was posted 2 days ago from Canberra. It will be on 05 Sep at Parramatta Immigration Office. (my preferred council was Blacktown as noted in the application.) I have not received the letter though. But I am impressed how quick the processing went. my timeline: 04 June 2014 - application online 06 June 2104 - received test schedule via email 13 June 2014 - citizenship test and approval letter (dated same day) 21 June 2014 - approval letter received by mail 05 Sep 2014 - ceremony at Parramatta Immigration Office
  5. Isn't that a bit out of the ordinary? I got my email test appointment 2 days after I submitted my application online, and the test was a week after. Did you try to ring them?
  6. Anyone has an idea how often Blacktown Council holds the ceremony? Parramatta Council posts ceremony dates in their website, but not Blacktown. If anyone can share their waiting time for Blacktown, it will be much appreciated.
  7. Ta. And my children are both adults so I reckon they should get their own approval letters. I remember though the DIBP officer linked my children's application to mine as we indicated we want to have the ceremony together. Now it's a guessing / waiting game for the ceremony. Blacktown Council does not post ceremony dates in their website unlike Parramatta. Wrote them to ask but never got a response. Very efficient
  8. Thanks yc1ten. I can see my children's status as both approved on 03/07/2014 but have yet to received their approval letters. But I reckon what is more important is to receive the invite letter for the ceremony. Thanks heaps.
  9. hi, may i know where to check the status? my 2 adult children and myself took our tests 1 week apart. we all passed. i got my approval letter only a few days after, my children have not received theirs. i want to check the status of their application. please share the link. thanks
