  1. You can but they don't have any nicotine in them. You can get the e liquid imported but it looks like a bit of a faf. I haven't tried but had a look into it. Depending on where you are there may be a shop locally that does something too.
  2. I considered the WHV and it would be the quickest route to get out here. It wouldn't matter that your gf doesn't match the skills list as she could simply be added to your application when you apply for the permanent or temporary residency visa. You could both come out on WHV. I added my gf to my PR visa without to much trouble you just have to prove the relationship, ie living together, shared finances that sort of thing. Lots of info about that on here and the relaxant state websites like pomsinadelaide.com
  3. Hi I'm in Adelaide. Been here since december 2011. I came over as a gardener/tree surgeon and got 2 job offers (after applying) within days of starting looking. I went to a company called MVS here in Adelaide, great firm good lads and plenty of work. They took me on as a casual no problems. I did decide that it wasnt the career for me anymore and have since secured something else. However another guy who got taken on at the same time as me was over on a working Holliday visa and was hoping to get sponsored by the firm, according to the lads who worked there the boss was more than willing to do this so long as you were a good worker. There are loads of tree companies (tree loppers) out here not just in Adelaide and the Aussies love their trees so there is no shortage of work. Most will have come into contact with poms and will know what the NPTC certificates are and will have heard of colleges in the uk such as Myerscough, they did at the ones I spoke to anyway. But they are more interested in whether you can do the job at the end of the day and if you have your own kit (climbing) all the better. Check out http://www.arbjobs.com usually a few on there. Hope this helps. Good luck.
  4. Hi They definitely do have USB ports on the back of every seat and plug sockets in the arm rests. We flew out with then in December, great flight. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?ftooyq
  5. To the best of my knowledge you have 12 months to arrive in oz after you have bought it, it is then valid for 12 months while you are in oz. you have to buy it before your 31st birthday. The information will be on the immi web site, just google it. Hope this helps. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-33.831667,151.223153
  6. This appears to be the answer, nothing to worry about for the tenant I don't think ! http://www.propertymanager.net.au/water-efficiency-compliance --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-35.031200,138.618207
  7. We got ours from Argos and they were really good. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=53.866143,-2.991334
  8. Hi Sorry to jump on your thread but I'm going to SA in a similar position and would also be interested in any info any has. It is my understanding that the amount of cash you need is a recommendation from them so you don't get into trouble when you arrive. I've read a lot of people on the forums arrive with a lot less and survive just fine. Don't think I've read anyone saying they had to provide proof of their savings after their SS was granted and their visa. Thanks --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=53.816660,-3.016622
  9. I don't think the rate will be much different here or there. If you were to do it at a bank you would get a worse rate than from a currency broker such as those on compare holiday money. Personally I'd do it before I go then I knew I had it ready. There are similar brokers in populated areas, I'd guess there would be one in Perth but I've only been to Adelaide so can't comment. Travelex is the one I've seen I think. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=53.866161,-2.991290
  10. The best rates can be found using companys such as www.moneycorp.com and transfering your money from your UK account via them to your Aussie one, alternatively i find the best rates on http://www.compareholidaymoney.com/ they have a list of all the rates and the companies deliver within days to your UK address, i have used Ice and buy my currency in the past and the service was excellent. You usually get 3 cents more to the pound by using moneycorp. Hope this helps.

    Nintendo DS

Hi You can plug the DS in on the flight i think you would need either a Euro or USA style adapter though. There are also USB sockets i believe but i'm not sure if they would charge the DS. There are UK style plugs at Singapore airport so you can charge them there also but as others have said there is so much entertainment on the flight that they will probably hardly use them.
  12. Hi In short yes i believe you can - http://www.immi.gov.au/migrants/residents/155/
  13. Hi Just looked at ours and our middle names aren't on them and i don't remember being asked for them actually. Oh well, i don't think it really matters to be honest. Last time i went to Aus my first and middle name had been put on my visitor visa the wrong way round and the immigration guy questioned it and told me to make sure they matched my passport next time but on an e-ticket i don't think it really matters.
  14. HI I believe you can enter Australia anywhere you like. This has been asked before i'm sure. Don't think you have to notify immigration as they will know you have arrived when you do. The visa is for Australia as a whole not a particular state.
