  6. Hi all, Congratulations on all those getting co's this week. Were still getting over the shock of our Grant on wednesday. I called round at my mums wednesday affy to tell her in person, she was great about it, it was me who shed a few tears! (I could'nt even get the words out) She was so supportive, and knows how much we want to move to oz and have done since we got engaged out there 12 years ago. I know she will be gutted when we actually leave as will all our family and friends, but she says she appreciates we have to do what we think best for our children and us a family unit!! She even said herself she doesnt see much of a future for the kids here in the uk for a long time. We are hoping to move out in Sept, but with the house to sell we cannot make any definate arrangements just yet, although we have dicussed renting our house here as a last resort. Jill, Im sure your next in line for a co, Im keeping everything crossed for you hun.. Your a Nov 09 applicant like us. Good luck to all those still waiting. Adele x

    Police checks

Hi I scanned our police checks & uploaded them to our file online with all our other documents. Hope this helps Paul
  14. Hi, We had ours done with Dr Smith @ Manchester a few week ago. We too have 2 kids (8 & 5) OH and myself and paid £702 in total for everything. All of us had to provide a urine sample, did basic eye test, we stripped to our underwear and was given a general check (reflexes, mobility etc) then OH and me had x-rays and blood test. I can honestly say it was not as bad as I expected, the kids even had a small selection of toys to play in Dr Smiths's office. (they did take their ds console too) Our meds were done on 14th Jan, the kids were finalised by Diac on th 17th and Oh & mine got finalised on 25th Jan. Also, make sure you take details of any medication any of you are taking. When I called to make the appointment, the lovely lady sent me an email confirmation along with a full price list etc. Hope this helps, but you could always phone as the staff were really helpfull! Good luck Adele x
  15. Hi mandi We have done the full process ourselves & today heared we have finally got a case officer.we decided to do the applications ourselves because we thought ours was fairly straight forward & obviously the financial cost to use an agent.i did my TRA in march 09 & our Sa SS in the october.we found PIO a massive help when we needed help.even the little questions you ask yourselves but dont want to ask on here, because you think people will think your a numpty lol.both applications came back succesful without any hickups(big relief).we then lodged our visa in nov 09.then all the uncertainty with the new sol & smp's.05 jan 11 was the best! SA SMP released,my trade was on(metal machinest 1st class) it had previously come off the SOL so was a huge relief it was on the SMP.we got all info from asking on here or by the internet(googles a great invention)in our experience & our circumstance it has been straight forward.all i would say is weigh up how easy/complicated your circumstances are & decide yourselves.we have felt that we have achieved more because we have done it ourselves, but to someone else using an agent helped them.sorry to have gone on :-). Wish you good luck & feel free to ask if you need any advice Cheers Paul
  16. Hi Carlos, We didnt know much at all about e-health when we did our meds a few weeks ago. We completed the required sections on the medical paperwork, and when we got to Manchester for the meds, the doctor checked we were on the diac online e-health service and sorted it for us. We still had to sign the paper copies in front of him etc.. but we personally did not complete anything online regarding the e-health. Our meds were done on 14th Jan and were all finalised on th 25th, so no problems at all. Perhaps ring your panel doctor first for advice. Also rather than it costing £40 for the courier service, it cost £40 per application for e-health. Good luck Adele x
  17. Yeah, all our docs are in but diac may well decide they need upto date work details etc.. but that wont be a problem as everything just as it was when we applied! Im sure you will get the answer your waiting for when your agent gets back to you on monday. Good luck Adele x
  18. Congratulations and all the very best with your new life in Adelaide. xx
  19. Hugh Congratulations Ozzieland, good luck with your plans. Adele x
  20. Hi all, Shabba dabba ding dong... we got co, woooo hoooo!! OH contacted diac, who advised him that there is a case officer currently looking at our file and that we would be contacted if & when they require any further docs.. Smithy's, Im betting you have one too, just hasnt contacted you yet? hold tight as I dont think it will be long now! There is probably more of us with co's than we think.. Cheers and best wishes to you all Adele x
  21. Congratulations on your visa grant, glad its all paid off for you guys! The wagon is defo rolling, we found out we got co today, maybe we got yours!!:biglaugh: Good luck with your big move on the 14th. Cheers Adele x
  22. We got a case officer now, found out this morning... feels ever soooo real now! lol We did meds in machester 14th Jan & they sent the results via e-health, its all done online so no messing around with posting. We got our pc's back last friday and just scanned and uploaded them attached them like we did our initial docs back when we applied.
  23. Hi Helen, We really fancy the southern suburbs, only problem is that most the engineering jobs look to be up north! We can suss it all out better when we arrive. What about you? Adele x
  24. Hi Jill, I'm sure your agent is just talking crap, the SMP clearly states for 475's! As you said, other 475 peeps have been allocated co's as cat 2 applicants, probably best to call DIAC to confirm. Stay strong hun. Adele x
