1. Thanks for that Mandi Us Geordies are a fountain of broon stuff....lol.:biglaugh::biglaugh:
 2. Hi mralcox I had a residence order and it meant squat but my parental responsibility meant everything. You have to get permission from everyone with parental responsibility before leaving the country I believe for a long period of time....unfortunately mothers always have parental responsibility even the ones that don't deserve breath. I am sure with all the legal genies on here that someone will be able to provide more of the rules than I can it is just my personal experience. I hope it all works out for you and please keep us posted.... ; )

Hi there.

I was wondering if I could ask you a huge favour? Me and my other half are applying for a 175 and have our medicals in 2 wks. I read the post re the problems you had with your medicals and was wondering if you could offer any advise?

Basically my other half (I'm the main applicant) has Charcot Marie Tooth disease, which is a neurological disease causing weakness in the arms and legs. The problem is there is a HUGE variety of severity for the condition. My other half is very mildy affected (to the point where it was only picked up by accident a few months ago and he's 39!). My main problem is that the condition can be progressive, so I'm terrified they're gonna refuse the visa on this basis.

As someone who has gone through the actual medicals, is there any practice advise on how to handle the medicals etc?

Thanks for any advise, and I hope everything is going ok for you and your family.

Cheers!
