    Cairns??

We were in Townsville for 3 years and used to go to Cairns alot, every time it rained even in the dry season....lovely place though
  2. Hi Anna, good to hear from you. How do you feel about the move? We have only been in this area for a few weeks but we have been living elsewhere in Australia. Don't know many people here yet as it is early days. Look forward to hearing from you when you get here. If you need any advice or help then feel free to get in touch. Lisa
  3. Oh not far from me then AND Im also from Dorset so we should have lots to talk about. Look forward to hearing from your wife:biggrin:
  4. Hi there, Im a 40 year old female a little further down the coast but will going to Shellharbour for shopping on a fairly regular basis as we have no decent shops where I am. Would love to meet up with anyone in the Shellharbour area for coffee or lunch etc followed by a little retail therapy. Females that is  Would love to hear from you.
  5. Well we have just invested in a canvas tent as we were really cold at night, and that was in Cape Trib, FNQ (yes it was winter but still 27 in the day). Around Sydney the weather can be 38 one day then 18 the next in the summer so you need a tent that will keep you warm but has lots of windows as well for those hot days.
  6. We are currently in Townsville and I have met a few people that have moved to Townsville to get away from Mount Isa and Townsville is considered to be quite red neck. From what I can gather its not a great place. I have been to other fairly remote places in Far North Queensland and I would definately never consider living in any of them, it is like another world out there.
  7. Yes bring it, unless its old and needs replacing anyway. We never camped in the UK but do it a lot out here. There is so much national park around Sydney, would be a shame not to get amongst it all.
