1. Well thanks, we might all be long gone by then!!!!
 2. Could anyone please give me some general info about this visa? I have heard it takes years for it to be granted, is this true? We are in our early 60s and permanent residents and our son is a Citizen. Our other son is still in the Uk, and I just wanted some info for him. Thanks
 3. We haven't ping ponged but feel like we're on a bit of elastic! Lived in Queensland now for 7 years, been back to UK on holiday to see family and friends 6 times and are thinking of going again later this year. We can stay with Mother-in-law in Uk which makes it easy and cheap and it doesn't help having one son here in Oz and one in London! Having said that, we are staying in Oz, feel much happier and healthier here and when I get homesick I remind myself to take off the rose tinted glasses, a holiday is very different to living there again.
 4. [TABLE=width: 500] [TR] [TD]Hi, we are mulling over whether or not to return to the UK, nothing decided. We are just wondering if we can leave money here in a Term Deposit if we did go back, as it's a higher interest rate, or would we be taxed here and in the UK? Any advice would be appreciated. 5. Good for you, what a lovely positive post :cute:
 6. My husband was granted the RSMS visa in 2010, as part of it he had to be sponsored by an employer in a regional area for 2 years. After working for the employer for 2 years, we are now free to move and work wherever we like in Australia (although he is still there 4 years later!). Not sure if the rules have changed since 2010 though.
 7. I love Whitby too, hoping to get there and to Scarborough for a visit when we go back for a holiday in October, can't wait!!
 8. We are currently living in regional Queensland as my oh is being sponsored here for 2 years, but want to move nearer to Brisbane to be near family, (son, wife and grandson). After Feb when sponsorship is finished, we can move where we like and are considering Caloundra, Maroochydore and Redcliffe as we would love to live near the coast and like these areas. Just wondering if anyone could help with info on the job situation, husband is currently a plumber/gas fitter but being 56 would like something less physical (being on roofs isn't ideal now!). We can't afford to retire just yet, and he would be happy with an easy job just to tick over until retirement. Will this be difficult to find considering his age? (He is physically fit). Any info would be appreciated.
 9. Well said, and all the very best for September, hope it's a happy outcome for you.
 10. I know that homesickness produces terrible feelings of emptiness and panic, and it's impossible to make the partner who isn't homesick fully understand the feeling. I sincerely hope that Ian finds some resolution and relief and takes comfort in all the support he has on this site.

Hi Vikram,

Yes, we used CW Visas, 2nd Floor, 1 Lyric Square, Hammersmith, London W6 ONB. Phone no. 0845 505 6100. We found them to be very good, Nigel is the owner, and we dealt with Anna Gorna. Hope this helps.
